我可能不會愛你

我好耐都沒有看香港製造的 "港劇" 了, 真的對那些沒有演技的藝員, 和那些令人摸不著頭腦的劇情沒興趣。　

近期看多了台劇 & 韓劇, 韓劇多帥哥！台劇可以學國語。　一般來說，我只看一些輕鬆攪笑，并且有 happy ending 的劇，　我 fragile 的心受不了像 ＂藍色生死戀＂那種　＂求生不得，求死不能＂的愛！（其實沒有看過呢出韓劇，只看劇名便 rejected!） 

最近看完呢套 台劇　＂我可能不會愛你＂，好有感觸!　原本呢出劇都係 fall into reject group, 但不知怎麼攪的，　在一個憂鬱的晚上，　看了那第一集，　便愛上了　＂陳柏霖" 演的那個角色！

呢個男主角因為怕失去他其實愛著的女生而選擇只做 best friends, 咁樣一輩子都不會失去她囉。最後結局是怎樣？　你們自己看啦！:D

有點 surprised 是陳柏霖的演技進步了。以前看過他在一些香港電影的演出，　總覺得他＂囧囧＂的，臭小子一名，怎麼現在成熟了，　演活了這個情心款款的，在背後默默等待的 "黑馬王子"?!

現在回想起來, 我和前度係做咗十幾年 best friends才 upgrade 到拖手仔的, 現在我們各走各路的, 我雖然好 enjoy 現在的自由, 但也難免感到有點可惜沒了一個知己。有時夜闌人靜時都會不禁想像下：＂如果我們沒有開始過，那有多好。＂幸好我們有很多美好的回憶，assured 自己一路以來的每一個選擇都是無憾的。　

在戲裡, 陳柏霖唱了首插曲,他的歌喉我不能讚喇, 但歌本身很 match 套劇的 theme, 而他也唱得好有感情, 他還有份作曲的! 加分!

Swearing is good for your health :D

I read this piece of article in "Time NewsFeed" yesterday.  It's about swearing can reduce pain. :D

I couldn't agree more! :D It's like a release valve when you are a fully blown up balloon. :D

It says in this article that swearing is more effective for non-habitual swearers. That means I should start reducing my swearing habit to minimal so to save this painkiller for when I truly need it. :D

After reading the piece of ghost story news yesterday, I've been pondering about death. :D

This made me think of how eerie it was if someone else logged in my account as me and converse with my friends after my death.

I mean "ifidie" was just gonna be my last message, that's all. If it were feasible, I would even ask my 'trustees' to delete my a/c permanently. It's not like I will need that a/c again in my next life. :D

I remember last year, when a colleague passed away, her boyfriend kept logging in her a/c and left message about how much he missed her and stuff.  After about 1 week of this, I couldn't help but to remove her facebook a/c from my friend list so his messages after her death will not be seen by me again.

I appreciate the fact that he loves her and misses her, but shouldn't it be done on his own a/c, not hers??!!  After all, her friends aren't necessarily his friends, e.g. I am her acquaintance,  I don't really know the boyfriend in particilar, so I don't feel like seeing her news feeds updated long after she expired.

Call me cold hearted, but I considered this another form of haunting which I can't bear.

There is this other piece of news about the legalization of digital properties. Which was quite interesting to ponder on. :D

近來唐太的行為真係 create 咗好多 feminist discussion. :D

隨住我一個二個老友記嫁了人, 只有我呢個　"盛/剩"　女仲可以 以旁觀者嘅身份去 comment 什麼 "沒80歳都吾好比飽飯佢食呀!", "一次不忠, 百次不用呀!". 


回想起以前 proudly 以小女人姿態 去有異性無人性 的自己, 現在雖 addicted to 單身的自由, 說什麼不會再做男人的小女人了，　但現實中, 到底我到時候會否真的做到 "餓死老公薰臭屋"?　

我相信我到時候很大機會會死性不改，成為那６０％中的一員．　唉! 

Die! Thief! 2

Saw this on the window of a noodle house near work the other day.

This says: "Wanted! Thief!"

It seems I am not the only one got things stolen.  :(

I asked the owner whether he had reported this to the police.  He said he did, but it seems the police didn't consider petty theft a priority.

I feel this owner's pain. Just like even if I reported the theft at work to the security, I am sure I am only gonna be laughed at instead of treated seriously.  After all, it's only an iPhone adepter, not an iPhone! :D

In what way is this bus service enhanced?

Saw this at the bus stop the other day... I pondered at it for about 5 minutes before the bus arrived, I still failed to understand what changed.

So confident that my math and logic skills are poor, I decided to take pictures of the signs and ponder it longer.

Old , seem to be out dated sign at the bus stop.

 I have come to this conclusion:

The only service enhanced is the more precise time table.

Old table (pictured in color) says first bus starts at 0640 hour. Then starting 0700 hour, bus will embark every 15 minutes Mon - Fri.

New sign (pictured in black and white) says First bus starts at 0640 hour and in 20 minutes (0700 hour), another bus would embark every 15 minutes Mon - Fri.

Correct me if I am wrong, this is trickery!

Tricking my fellow riders into believing the bus service has improved!!! But of course, unless maybe there are 2 freaking buses embarking at the same time at 7am, I am not buying this bull shit! :D

唉!!! 王, 張, 李, 劉, 陳!?!?

我在春節時看電視, 其中有個節目提及 五大百家姓, 我以為自己好醒, 自言自語答道:  "咪係陳, 李, 張, 黃, 何 囉!"

但點知原來係錯!!!! I am shocked to find out 我個姓已經不再是大姓了!! 連十甲都不入!

連老劉 & 老林的家族都多人過我!!!   我吾"制"呀!!!!!

Additional New Year's Resolution!

After cleaning up my fortress, I have decided I have to do something about my stacks of unread books.

So, other than previous 7 new year's resolutions, an 8th is added!

I visit Wiki everyday, when I try to search something, I always opt for the wiki link first and then read the other links from google as I go along.

Today, it's their blackout day in speaking out against SOPA and PIPA, I feel fidgety not being able to access my favorite source of reading on the internet.

This is how everybody should feel (worse than fidgety) if SOPA and PIPA were to be passed!

When wiki goes back up tomorrow, I am definitely gonna donate some money to them again!

Are you a Hong Konger or a Chinese? :D

I read a piece of news from washingtonpost.com yesterday, titled, "China denounces ‘Hong Konger’ trend". I thought it's an interesting read.

When you fill out entry form at foreign countries' customs, would you write your nationality as "Chinese" or "Hong Kong"? :D


Most of the time I'd write "Chinese" on entry forms, however, when I feel childish, I would fill "Hong Kong" politically incorrectly just to declare I am a Chinese from HKG, not a Chinese from China! :D


I think I am a 70% Hong Konger with 20% North American influence and 5% living in my own coo coo world.  The remaining 5% is Chinese as a race (But then, my mom said I have some Mongolian blood! :D)

I am one of the group of people China wants to denounce :D... well my parents also wants to denounce me for not loving my mother country enough. :D

Disappearing Vistors Stats... :(

Lately I have been noticing inconstant report with the ClutrMaps gadget.

See this shows I have 3 visits on Jan 10, one from HK, one from India, and one from USA

Then, this morning, I check again, most of the Jan 10 stats are gone!  And the one left behind (HK)'s time doesn't match with the previous one.

What the hack!!?!!?

New Year's Resolution 2012

Very simple!

1. Start making my own happiness a priority!! :D
2. Stop taking taxi after work to go home!! :D 
3. More meat and veggies, less noodles! :D 
4. Stop being the "deadline gang" :D
5. Pick up book reading again! :D
6. Stop impulsive shopping! :D
7. Keep the Blog Posts rolling! :D

I anticipate only 4/7 of these could be achieved by year end:D hehehe but hey :D better have a list than not! :D

It's like if a customer called us and told us the reason of her late payment was because she was in the hospital due to rape.. and we said, okay fine, because of that, we would give you a discount on the interests fee, because T&C said once you are late in payment, you have to pay extra!!!

Come on! Judge, exercise your bleeping judgement and empathy and make a justified decision!!!!

上一代的廿元雞

I haven't seen this last generation of $20 bucks for a long time, thought I'd share and let us Generation X folks walk down the memory lane again. :D

When I first got it from the merchant, I flipped and flipped to examine it to make sure it's not fake money. :D

The top brownish color one is the banknote issued between 1985-92. The bottom banknote is the current issue since 1993.

Bad Hong Kong People!

Due to the H1N1 scare, all elevators in Hong Kong has applied the easy clean tactic. It means the management has put a plastic film to cover the buttons for easy wiping.

But every few days, the management has to change the film because people keep using their keys to 'pierce' the buttons instead of using their fingers to push them!!

I am so very annoyed by this.

Can't they just use hand santizier after they press the button if they think the buttons are dirty!?!?!!?!

ARGH!

What if Hitler Won the War?

Lately, I have found this movie called "Fatherland" on youtube. It's quite interesting.

It's a movie which depicts a world had Hitler won the WWII.



Nobody would know about the holocaust, and Hiltler would order all his high Nazi wingmen to be assassinated just to cover up his crime.

History is written by the winner. And by facing the mistakes in History, we can learn to forgive and not to make the same mistake again.

This makes me wonder:

• Why the Japanese government to this day, still does not admit to the Nanjing Massacre!?
• Why the Chinese government to this day, still does not apologize for the 1989 Tienanmen Square Massacre?!
• Why some foreign countries stole our historic relics and dare to sell them in auctions?!

I like to read history non-fictions, because I usually knows how it ends in advance. I don't like surprises. I need closure for these events!

Kids' minds these days...

A couple days ago, I took the mini-van to the subway station for work. I saw some graffiti scribbled on the back of the seat.

It says "返學等放學, 無無聊聊 又一日! 沈悶的人生". That means "Waiting to get out of class when it was barely just started. Mindlessly spending the day. Such a bored life."

Such a depressing way to view this student's future.

This reminds me of some colleagues at work too. They showed up, but their mind weren't even present.  Most annoying!

Earth Hour

Today is the day the world switchs off its lights for 1 hour. I am proud to be one of the people who joined.

 

There are 659 people declared that they would join the Earth Day event in Hong Kong. :D

 

What have I done in this light-less hour? :D

 

20:59pm  1 minute count down! :D

 

20:30pm All lights are off! Using my Tabo (大口仔) flashlight to lit the clock so I can take this picture in the dark. :D

20:30pm Turned off all the lights and TV
20:35pm Start eating my dinner (Pork and veggie soup) while listening to ghost stories Mp3 in the dark. :D It made the ghost stories so much more eerier! >.<
20:55pm Finished munching :D
20:56pm Keep listening to my ghost story Mp3 on my lovely pink iPod mini :D
21:10pm Shower in the dark to make myself squeaky clean
21:27pm Come out of the shower. (not to shower too long so not to waste too much precious water. :P)
21:30pm Although Earth Hour has ended, I only turned back on the light in the kitchen as that light illuminated the living room efficiently.

Although one hour of light-off probably won't save the world,  it raised people's consciousness about saving the world we live in.  It's our only home after all. :)

Eating sushi the correct way....

After visiting Japan for the first time in my adult live (My parents had took me there as a small kid, I don't remember anything about that trip, what a waste), I have begun to like the Japanese culture more lately.

I just realized I have been eating sushi the wrong way! :D

According to the sushi chef, Keiichi Masuda interviewed by Kim Honey of the star.com, I've been killing my sushi with dipping the soy sauce on the wrong end and put too much extra wasabi all my life! :D

From now on, I am going to observe the correct way of enjoying my favorite Japanese cuisine.

假如我有三千萬. If I had $30,000,000..

I just finished reading Mr. Chris Leung's post about "If I had 30 Million Dollars". Just thought I'd give this a thought too. :D

My first thought was, "Would I quit my job?" I think I would! :D

Maybe I would open a little cafe somewhere. Maybe move to Canada or any place which allows 'investment migration' :D

Maybe I'd even just travel the world with Mr. MonkeyMan. :D The order of places I want to go is... Egypt, Italy, France, UK, Greece, Germany, Japan, The whole USA... :D.. oh.. anywhere I could go I guess.

As of daily needs such as clothing, food, housing and transportation:

Clothes: I wouldn't care for designer clothes, I'd just buy things that suit my style. AND!!! Lots of Shoes!! HAHA.. Women and their shoes.. inseparable:P

Food: I'd try things I never tried before... :D The food doesn't have to be expensive, just healthy and exotic is fine. Maybe I'd hire a personal Chef who cook me yummy things :D No Durians and Pineapples though! :D Ick :P

Housing: I'd buy a house in Hong Kong, somewhere in the South of Hong Kong Island with a sea view. I'd also buy a big seaside mansion in Monterey, CA to suit my vacation needs. :D

Transportation: I won't need a car in Hong Kong, but I'd buy a little mini smart car for myself, and a trailer for road trips in North America. :D Also, a boat in Hawaii! :D
