Hot or Cold?!

My neck and shoulder area has been sore for > 2 months.. :(  It is prolly because I always sleep the wrong way. :D

I like to sleep on my belly instead of of my back. :D


Mr. MonkeyMan had applied some Vic's Vapor rub when I was in SFO.. :D It helped briefly. :D

 But it still hurts after all this time.. :D

Maybe I should see a doctor about this..

But lately, I bought some Japanese muscle sore stickers to apply on the neck/shoulder area and it seems to help a bit.

When I bought it, I thought to myself, "hmm. should I buy hot or cold?"

After a few minutes of consideration, I decided to buy the cold pad. :D Not because of what effects it has written on the box, but in this hot 36 degrees summer, hot seems a stupid choice. :P

After I got home, I did a bit of research and turns out both hot and cold seems to be okay, and if I bought both and alternate them, it's even better. :P

Well, I am just gonna stick with this cold sticker for now. :P It works fine and it cools me down nicely. :P

 

I feel so much like those old 咸濕 men when I am wearing this. heheheh

Aiya!!! $0.5 bag... most precious bag I will treasure!

The other day, I had day shift,so after lunch, i walked around my office area with my spare time.

I wasn't intended to buy anything at the time, so I didn't bring my lovely reusable shopping bag. But when I entered this store, I figured, since i left my nut box at Sunnyvale, I should get a new one. :D

If I were just to get a nut box, I would not need a shopping bag. :D But you know me, I would end up buying something else, (such as Winnie the pooh pen set, a Winnie the pooh portable mug :P , etc)... I end up have to buy a hk$0.5 shopping bag to carry all those back to work! :/

I swear this is going to be the first and the last bag I would buy!!!!!!! :D

激死我的 Windows activation!

I have taken my computer downstairs to get fixed and just got it back yesterday afternoon. :P

It came back practically new... :D because the old mother board got fried and the components in the old computer were also too old to be compatible with the new board.

So, for a mere HK$1550, I got a new board, a new DVD-R Rom, a 2GB Ram, and a new cpu ; got rid of the old CD-R & DVD-R, sound card, video card, a 1GB Ram, historic 5600 dial up, and lan card and things I prolly didn't realize was there. :D haha

The computer runs very fast now and seems satisficatory.

However, when I want to activate the reinstalled windows, I encountered some problem. :D

I have a total of 3 freaking windows xp disks.. All legal! X_x

Now, one of the disks has gone missing, and then the professional version is damaged.

I have all 3 keys with me, but don't know which key is for which disk. :D

So randomly, I just put the 1 remaining disk in, and randomly entered a key. It let me install alright, so I thought hey, it's okay then. But when I tried to activate it online, it says it cannot do so for me and ask me to call those hotline idiots! :D

I don't know who is the idiot here, but when I call them, a lady with mainland accent told me, "Mam, you know it's like a door lock, only 1 key would fit for each lock"

Then I ask her "if the fuxking key I put in when I install is not for the disk, why the hack you let me install then!?!?!"

She has no other answer for it and just repeated the key & door lock story.

I gave up talking to dumb hotline people who didn't know how to handle idiot customers like myself. :P

After 3 tries to reinstall windows with a matching key, now the computer finally is up and activated.

It's time I learn Linux! :D Maybe in my next long vacation, I will test drive it with my laptop. Mr. MonkeyMan would be delighted :D

Lots of tweaking still need to be done. There is no sound right now, but the graphic is better then my old card. :P

咩潮熱呀!?!

昨晚正值 No. 9 typhoon. 吾知點解我就揀咗呢晚去發 102.5 degree 嘅燒!

無端端嘅 wor! 又吾係有 flu 嘅 symptoms, 不過個胃就頂住頂住, 可能係食鬼滯咗!

本來唸住要去 E.R., 又次返吾到工, 但橫風橫雨, 巴士又停洗, taxi 都無部, 點算呢!? 都無法子, 我硬命一條, 死就死啦!

於是就 park 咗 粒 Panadol, 在廿六度嘅室溫, 吾開冷氣, 吾開風扇, 仲要蓋兩張被都感到 jim 寒 jim 凍嘅情況下睡了.

奇就奇在, 一覺醒來, 雖然 tired, 但燒退了. 唯有上班去.

我一臉憔悴, 有同事便説:　你又吾舒服呀？

我：係呀, 都吾知做咩鬼, 昨晚無端端 102 度呀!　不過今朝又無咩事 lu.


同事:　哈哈！可能係潮熱呀！

無知的我：　咩係潮熱呀!? :D

同事： Kekekek :D (no answer given)

我現在返到家, 上到 net 一 check! 才知比佢戲弄了! >.<

Awesome Public Housing! 住公屋多好!

A few days ago, when I walked by the market in my 'hood, I saw this curious booth which says free wifi!!!

I went like, Wow, awesome!! free wifi, I should find out more and hopefully get myself some free wifi too! :D

After closer look, it turns out this free wifi is only provided for the lucky folks who live in public housing! :D Bummer! :D

I used to live in public housing too! ! I should entitle to this free wifi too because it's like.. I am an alumni of the U. of Public Housing! :D haha

As it turned out, Hong Kong government not only implemented free wifi for public housing since Jan 2009, it also set up many designated spots around Hong Kong for common folks like me to have free wifi while they are not at home too. :D

I need to find out more about these spots so I can chat with my friends all the time :P haha

Well, I figured... since I need to start from scratch, I might as well just re-organize the whole site! (正所謂: 一不做, 二不休, 我咪把我所有旅遊相片 upload 上去囉!)

So! I wasn't being lazy last week, just that I have to concentrate on the photos! :D

Funny Cadbury Commerical! :D I love it!

Lately, there is this commercial my whole family is fascinated about :D




Yup. It's the Cadbury chocolate tv commercial. :D My dad and I had a debate whether people can manipulate their eyebrows like that! :D So agile! :D

It's so strange, whenever this commercial is on, my dad and I would try to imitate the kids in there. :D It's the funniest thing! :D

My mom would just frown and said, "Grow up you two!!" :D hahahaha

I think that's the ultimate compliment from my mom. :D

Notice of Name Change! :D

Today, this space in the intertube will be changed from "LaBean's Gazette" to "The LaBean Noise". :D

Why do I change the name? :D Well.. it will have to do with what happened when I was in Mountain View, CA, USA last month. :D

That day, Mr. MonkeyMan took the wrong route, so he had to let me off at Mountain View Caltrain station instead of Sunnyvale's. :D

While I was checking out the Caltrain schedule at the unmanned information booth, a reporter claiming to be from the Mountain View Voice approached me and wanted to interview me! :D

"WHEE!! :D I will be famous!!", I thought to myself. :D

The reporter was Mr. Ed Pereira. He briefly introduced himself and politely asked me whether I was willing to answer a very brief question. :D

I told him, "Oh, but I was not from around this area, not even from this country".

He said, "Oh, it's all the more better, we have international readers too! :)"

So, the interview began! :P

"You know GM is closing down, what kind of car would GM build that you would buy?"

I thought, "Hmm.. I don't even have a driver's license. :D". Nonetheless, I answered, "Because of environmental issues, I would look for a hybrid." :D

He was satisfied with this answer and bid me farewell. :D

The truth was, I was working so hard to not say "A pink car!" :D It was such a struggle to choose between an intelligent answer and a cute silly answer. :D haha

So, here, on Friday, 5th June, 2009, I checked their website and located my mug shot there in their online version!! :D hahah

After the paper was published, I even forced Mr. MonkeyMan to drive me to Mountain View Caltrain station and robbed like 4 or 5 copies of the paper. :D It's free publication after all and I will pass those copies to my friends. :D

Now I wish I am skinnier just so I would look good on newspaper. :D I shoulda also use my online name as "Tickle LaBean" instead of my real name too. :P hahah

Oh, The Voice is a very intelligent paper. But my blog was quite mindless silly. :D So instead of "The LaBean Voice", I think the word "Noise" is more appropriate. Hence the new name! :D
