Wahahhahhaha!! Interactive Youtube!

I don't know about you, but when I was a child, I loved those interactive novels which allowed the reader to choose different paths as he or she read along.

I haven't noticed those books anymore, but never fear, lately I found these Youtube interactive videos which is a little bit similar to those interactive novels. (Well, I wouldn't say they are novels, but they tell stories nonetheless. :D)

Here's one I enjoy a lot lately. :D Don't you love zombies?! :D

Here are some other ones I would check out later.

個 roster mysteriously changed without notice.

Sir

I am shocked to find out 我個姓已經不再是大姓了!!

Chopsticks printed with my last name which is no longer the 5th biggest Chinese last name. :(

This is the store front area.. you get to pick your own seafoods similar to Sai Kung of Hong Kong. I was overwhelmed with freshness. :D HAHAH
Let's see, we have sea snails, greens stir fry, clams, peeing shrimps, squid and long mushrooms stir fry, beef and noodle stir fry.

and then we have some more shell fish, beef and broccoli, chicken, fish, abalone, scollops!
We only ordered the drinks in this picture, such as a beer and a bottle of blue berry juice which tasted a lot like Ribeana (利賓立). We of course didn't order these raw clams (top left), buggs/worms (bottom). But I just want you to see for good entertainment. :D

National Anthem of LaBean Land

I finally found my country's National Anthem!!!! :D hahaah

I was watching CCTV with my dad  a couple days ago and found this song called "辣妹子" (Spicy girl :D).  Naturally, I am attracted to anything hot and spicy, so I went online to find the song again. :D

While searching for the normal version, I found this Englishized version of the song.  I loved it so much that I decided this funny English version should be my homeland, The Land of LaBean's National Anthem!! :D

I am sure you will agree that this song is perfect for my land! :D hahahah

Below is the serious version I saw on CCTV. :D I must say the soprano's voice makes me have unfortable goosebumps everywhere though.

The "After"...

To continue from yesterday's mess.....

Now, let's play a game of "find the difference" :D hahaha

Top: Before WTF :D.  Bottom: After Much Better.
Stuffs I threw away
A:    Empty pork jerky paper (豬肉紙) box from Taipei.......
B:    A stack of 吳尊尊 covered magazines!!! :D Well, I threw away those pages without him and file the pages in the light blue folder there :D
C:   All the boxes from different computer gadgets which may or may not contain any type of computer related gadgets :D
D:   Calender from 2011 which still shows the page of Jan2011 :D

Be afraid, be very afraid

I visit Wiki everyday, when I try to search something, I always opt for the wiki link first and then read the other links from google as I go along.

Today, it's their blackout day in speaking out against SOPA and PIPA, I feel fidgety not being able to access my favorite source of reading on the internet.

This is how everybody should feel (worse than fidgety) if SOPA and PIPA were to be passed!

When wiki goes back up tomorrow, I am definitely gonna donate some money to them again!

DOWN WITH SOPA! DOWN WITH PIPA!!!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:SOPA_initiative/Learn_more

Whoa! Found my time capsules! :D

I didn't do much cleaning last Chinese New Year, so this year, when everyone in the family is all well and alive, I finally decided there is no excuse to not clean my fortress anymore. :D

Cleaning up my fortress is at least a 3 parts series! :D hehe

As I was digging into the grounds of my fortress, I found 2 shoe boxes I forgot what I put into... so I open the dusty cover and found out that the shoe boxes are actually time capsules .

I found these ring bounded note books which are actually my diaries from as far back as 2002!!!!  So awesome when I flip through them briefly.

I forgot how I put pictures in my dairies just like I would when writing blogs :D This picture shows my parents and myself dinning with my late favorite aunt.  What a nice family photo.

Hehe, this entry is about visiting an Oyster farm in China and how much I enjoyed eating monstrous sized oysters there.   :D

I think my writing style hasn't changed throughout the years.. :D It's mostly about foods!! :D hahahah

I stopped writing these notebooks since I started blogging. :D Finding these diaries has stirred a  certain nostalgic emotion inside me which re-reading this blog doesn't even come close to giving me the same satisfaction.

Year of the Dragon decorations

The year of the Dragon is coming, there are dragons everywhere!!!

Unlike Christmas, I probably won't roam around malls this Chinese New Year.  :D So, I present to you the mall closest to my office, Tai Koo Shing! :)

There are seriously huge Chinese Dragons around the mall. Everything is so giantic, even the fake peach blossoms are like 2 stories tall!  Impressive!

The dragons on the walls and the peach blossoms are really enormous. You can see the people walking under the dragons are like stick figures. :D

I like these Dragon banners hanging above the skating rink.

To celebrate the year of the dragon, the mall even has a King's Dragon Robes exhibition (I call it "大展龍袍") .  These are robes worn by Guangxu 光緒  & Jiaqing 嘉慶.  The Black one was worn by The Empress Dowager, Cixi The Dragons on the Emperor's robes has 5 claws, while the Empress' would only have 4 claws to distinguish them apart.

As a bonus, I give you another dragon which is located near my home. :D I'd say this one is too skinny and unimpressive.

Rainy night, ghostly tale...

Would you pick up strange abandoned umbrella somewhere and bring it home?

I wouldn't! :D

As a diligent ghost story radio listener, I must say, other than the legendary red silk embroidered shoes, a stranger's umbrella on the street is my other most fearful ghost story related item.

Legend has it that those ghosts without a grave would attach themselves to umbrellas...  If you picked up an umbrella on the street, the ghosts which attached to the abandoned umbrellas would follow you home and do strange ghostly things to you. :D

It's a rainy night last night, on the way home after work, I found a green umbrella hooked in front of the seat I was about to take.

This is the most uncomfortable ride home ever as I have to struggle to suppress my fear of the ghost inside this stranger's umbrella.

Sure hope the ghost in the green umbrella didn't migrate to my black umbrella!! :D Heh Heh!

Clockwise from Top Left: steamed fresh fish from the sea

Are you a Hong Konger or a Chinese? :D

I read a piece of news from washingtonpost.com yesterday, titled, "China denounces ‘Hong Konger’ trend". I thought it's an interesting read.

When you fill out entry form at foreign countries' customs, would you write your nationality as "Chinese" or "Hong Kong"? :D

Most of the time I'd write "Chinese" on entry forms, however, when I feel childish, I would fill "Hong Kong" politically incorrectly just to declare I am a Chinese from HKG, not a Chinese from China! :D

I think I am a 70% Hong Konger with 20% North American influence and 5% living in my own coo coo world.  The remaining 5% is Chinese as a race (But then, my mom said I have some Mongolian blood! :D)

I am one of the group of people China wants to denounce :D... well my parents also wants to denounce me for not loving my mother country enough. :D

As Chinese New Year approaches, people scramble around to get brand new notes for red pockets.  These people include my colleagues. :D

The bank I work at has this staff benefit, which help staff to get new money for red pockets so they don't have to line up for money.

As a supervisor, coordinating and distributing these money is my task. So yesterday at work, 3/4 of my work time was spent counting money!! Paper cuts on thumbs were unavoidable.

But I don't understand why it is so important to get new money.  As I am still on the receiving end of the pockets... I must say, I don't freaking care whether the content inside is new or old...

Just "SHOW ME THE MONEY!" :D

This is the latest version of HK$50

Disappearing Vistors Stats... :(

Lately I have been noticing inconstant report with the ClutrMaps gadget.

See this shows I have 3 visits on Jan 10, one from HK, one from India, and one from USA

Then, this morning, I check again, most of the Jan 10 stats are gone!  And the one left behind (HK)'s time doesn't match with the previous one.
What the hack!!?!!?

Oh!! BTW!!! :D Hello! Unknown Friend from India!!!! :)

KFC of China

This is a KFC store front.

Saw this on New Years Eve in China when I visited my uncle.

Look closely inside the blue circle...

I thought only McDonald's in Asia have rice burgers to suit the Asians' taste-buds...  I guess the fast food business in China is very competitive too, so KFC has to pull something Asians also.

Left to right: 香燸意米粥+安心油條 (sticky rice congeegee & chinese fried rolls), 香煎烟肉堡+醇豆漿/經典咖啡 (Bacon burger + coffee or soya bean milk), 皮蛋瘦肉粥+安心油條 (Thousand year old egg and shredded pork congeegee and chinese fried rolls)

For only $6 bucks of China money, you get to have a non-chicken breakfast at KFC(CHINA). :D

A license to pick nose

Lately I have been suffering from frequent unprovoked nose bleeds like I have some kind of terminal illness.

Just 2 days ago, on a day off, I was bedridden with an exploding headache around the nostril area, so I decided to visit the Dr. to check it out.

Turns out, my nostrils' inner membranes are very thin and I am having a minor case of Sinusitis (鼻竇炎)!

The Dr. prescribed me with this cream, I think they smell like Vaseline and he told me to stick my finger up my nose to apply it just like picking my nose! :D

Yay, now I've got a license to pick my nose and best of all, not terminally ill yet. :D
