I love ghost stories.. :D I would like to be able to materialize in
some way or another after I die and I highly unlikely would just move on
quietly. :D Consider me "Tickle the friendly ghost."
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/technology/2012/03/ghostwriter-mysterious-emails-sent-from-beyond-the-grave/
I aim at floating around the world, see things I haven't been able to see when I was alive.
I
would lick any foods of the living that I have never tasted before. (legend
says that ghost would like BBQ pork displayed at Hong Kong BBQ houses.
:P)
Don't be surprised if you still get Facebook game gift requests from me after my death for I am such a cafeworld aimless clicking addict. :D
Now I am seriously considering this ifidie app :D haha I will soon name my 3 honorary trustees to assist my 身後事。

Assistant Manager of 魚蛋檔。
Let me set a S.M.A.R.T.

Rainy night, ghostly tale...
Would you pick up strange abandoned umbrella somewhere and bring it home?
I wouldn't! :D
As a diligent ghost story radio listener, I must say, other than the legendary red silk embroidered shoes, a stranger's umbrella on the street is my other most fearful ghost story related item.
Legend has it that those ghosts without a grave would attach themselves to umbrellas... If you picked up an umbrella on the street, the ghosts which attached to the abandoned umbrellas would follow you home and do strange ghostly things to you. :D
It's a rainy night last night, on the way home after work, I found a green umbrella hooked in front of the seat I was about to take.
This is the most uncomfortable ride home ever as I have to struggle to suppress my fear of the ghost inside this stranger's umbrella.
Sure hope the ghost in the green umbrella didn't migrate to my black umbrella!! :D Heh Heh!

excerpt from the show.

Crazy Blog heiress ordered Fortune Chicken without showing up!
Hong Kong, SARS. (Labean Gazette) - A disgruntled local restaurant manager reported that a crazy middle aged female had called the restaurant on 18/02, request to book a table for four and a specially prepared "fortune chicken (富貴雞, aka, 乞丐雞)" without showing up.
This had caused the already financially troubled restaurant suffered yet another harsh blow.
According to the manager this middle aged woman (name omitted to protect the identify of the innocent) called on 18/02 to book a table for four. The manager was sure that she asked to book the table for 19/02. In order to tailor her booking of this specially made famous chicken dish, the restaurant went through a series of detailed preparation without sparing the expensive cost of the ingredients. The manager hoped that this order would revive the troubled restaurant's financial situation.
Unfortunately, due to this mishap, all hope has disappeared for the restaurant.
Our journalist has both side of the story.
According to this anonymous middle aged lady, she had indeed called the restaurant on 18/02, but the date she asked for was for 19/03 when her boyfriend would dine with her bestest of friends. She blamed the mishap to the loud background noise of the restaurant when she called the restaurant for a booking.
Our reporter had relay this lady's message to the restaurant. The manager's reply was that, "Who would be crazy enough to book a table 1 month in advance!!!!!!!!!!"
Our reporter had interviewed a few of the middle aged lady's friends after this incident. Most of their comments about this lady were that she is somewhat of a peculiar and eccentric character. One of her friends even describe her as "living in her own coo coo world.".
No further comment was provided byMs LaBean the middle aged lady at this time. Both parties involved were not ready to admit any fault.

Name one single thing that is good that happened last week! :D
I was talking to my dear boyfriend just yesterday, as usual, i rant about the horrible things that happened at work.. and other weird stuff that happened (such as the post about not working network drive below)...
After the ranting was done.. Mr. Monkeyman asked, "Was there any good thing that happened last week?" :P
After much consideration, I declared... "None" :D heheheh
I think I am at a low point in life right now. :D Nothing seem to go smoothly at work... and new toys (network drive) seems to be playing tricks on me too. :P
Anyways, I concluded to Mr. MonkeyMan that, "well, I see it as a blessing in disguise, because if my life is just a breeze, then I won't look forward to the 2 weeks vacation which is coming up in Mid-Oct" :P
This horrible period would make a great contrast to the happy time ahead. :D
Such an optimistic person I am! :D
Well... now I think of it, the one good thing that happened was that I get to have lunch with my pal, Old Lau. :D

$11000 tax!!!!! Screw the environment!!! :D
I freaking forgot to file my tax this year!!! So the Hong Kong Governement decided that I have not been feeding my dear parents and decided I should pay full tax this year, which is a handsome $11000 + !! :D
What the hack!!!
Of course! After I received the Tax Return slip I freaked out like I never freaked out before! :D
I thought I had filed it!! Or.. I thought that when I didn't have to pay tax, the government didn't ask me to file... or some other weird reason!!!
Turns out that I actually selected the 'protect the envorinment, save a tree' option and opt out getting paper tax notice last year!!
Thank goodness the IRA agent I encountered a few days ago was quite nice. Didn't threaten to arrest me for failing to file tax etc.. :D
He politely ask me to refile it online and also file a protest, then they will resend me a new tax notes..
I just finished filing right now.. at 4am...
I clicked on the tax estimate just now and find that I still have to pay tax! Damn that HKCCA Award last year, I actually received about $2000 reward money from my employer which jacked my salary up the notch! :D
Well.. After getting that $11k tax estimate before, paying only a little bit more than $200 is a blessing! :D I am not complaining.
Now I switch back to the "kill a tree by receiving paper tax notice" again... Let's hope they re-estimate my tax payment in time. :P

About Love! :P
A colleague at work forwarded me this picture.
It claims to be a piece of composition by an elementary school kid.
The Subject:
Write an article about Love.
Requriment:
1. Clean and simple words.
2. Must have a tragic ending.
3. No limitation on the number of words.
Answer from the kid:
Will you marry me?
"Bugger off!"
Hahha.. I find it funny and appropriate! :D

Funny Cadbury Commerical! :D I love it!
Lately, there is this commercial my whole family is fascinated about :D
Yup. It's the Cadbury chocolate tv commercial. :D My dad and I had a debate whether people can manipulate their eyebrows like that! :D So agile! :D
It's so strange, whenever this commercial is on, my dad and I would try to imitate the kids in there. :D It's the funniest thing! :D
My mom would just frown and said, "Grow up you two!!" :D hahahaha
I think that's the ultimate compliment from my mom. :D
Below is a link to another funny imitation of the eyebrows.. hahah watch it too, it's funny!

Notice of Name Change! :D
Today, this space in the intertube will be changed from "LaBean's Gazette" to "The LaBean Noise". :D
Why do I change the name? :D Well.. it will have to do with what happened when I was in Mountain View, CA, USA last month. :D
That day, Mr. MonkeyMan took the wrong route, so he had to let me off at Mountain View Caltrain station instead of Sunnyvale's. :D
While I was checking out the Caltrain schedule at the unmanned information booth, a reporter claiming to be from the Mountain View Voice approached me and wanted to interview me! :D
"WHEE!! :D I will be famous!!", I thought to myself. :D
The reporter was Mr. Ed Pereira. He briefly introduced himself and politely asked me whether I was willing to answer a very brief question. :D
I told him, "Oh, but I was not from around this area, not even from this country".
He said, "Oh, it's all the more better, we have international readers too! :)"
So, the interview began! :P
"You know GM is closing down, what kind of car would GM build that you would buy?"
I thought, "Hmm.. I don't even have a driver's license. :D". Nonetheless, I answered, "Because of environmental issues, I would look for a hybrid." :D
He was satisfied with this answer and bid me farewell. :D
The truth was, I was working so hard to not say "A pink car!" :D It was such a struggle to choose between an intelligent answer and a cute silly answer. :D haha
So, here, on Friday, 5th June, 2009, I checked their website and located my mug shot there in their online version!! :D hahah
After the paper was published, I even forced Mr. MonkeyMan to drive me to Mountain View Caltrain station and robbed like 4 or 5 copies of the paper. :D It's free publication after all and I will pass those copies to my friends. :D
Now I wish I am skinnier just so I would look good on newspaper. :D I shoulda also use my online name as "Tickle LaBean" instead of my real name too. :P hahah
If you want to read an online version of the Voice, here is the link to download a pdf.

Oh, The Voice is a very intelligent paper. But my blog was quite mindless silly. :D So instead of "The LaBean Voice", I think the word "Noise" is more appropriate. Hence the new name! :D

Expert Seamstress is Me! :D
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
I am such a spoiled brat when it comes to doing needle works.
I hate doing needle works! :D It's just not very enjoyable to me. :D Whenever I lose a button or need something mended, I just let my mom do the dirty work for me. :P
Now that I am with my boyfriend who is a conservationist, I have to spoil him and do things I normally don't do.
The other day, he assigned me a mission impossible: Mending a Perfectly good pair of Jean's Holy Pockets! :D
Here is the end result :P
I want to say the randomness of the stitches are due to I want to give it a random artistic feel to the pockets. :P Also, it's to show off how many different kind of stitching style I can do! :D
To do uniformed stitches needs lots of skills and concentrations, which I have none. :P haha It's amazing the patching is secure and now it's able to give the pair of jeans an extended life. :D

When Wolverine Sings!
Last week, I took my parents to watch the movie, "X-Men Origin: Wolverine".
I enjoyed the movie very much. Hugh Jackman was so awesome in the movie, I cannot help but label him a hunky action star. :D
But did you know, he is in fact a Broadway actor before he played the Wolverine? :D
He even played a gay song writer who had married Liza Milleni. His song and dance is so awesome! :D He won a Tonys Award for his performance in "The Boy from Oz" before he landed the role in the X-Men Movies.
I feel a new handsome man is about to add to my list... :D ahhaha
Below is a video of him performing in the Tonys Award. It's a must see! :D

My parents received yet another red bomb, meaning another wedding invitation. :D
This time it's a very close friend, so they, instead of just make standard red pocket money as wedding present, they went to a bank to buy Cash certificate.
The cash certificate comes with a note to teach you how to write meaningful good greetings for different situations. :D

:D My birthday is coming up :D Since it's not everyday I turn 35 :D, by then, I will wish myself, "三秩開五榮壽大慶", after all, an ordinary "設帨之慶" is just too ordinary for me. :D

New Fruit discovery: Bayberry
The other day, I have found some fruits I haven't seen before. In Chinese, they are called
After a bit of searching, I found that their common English name is called Bayberry.
According to this wiki page, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myrica_rubra, these berries suppose to be sweet! :D
Not so in my case! :D I boldly bought a big bucket to try. >.< Oi!!! It's sooooo sour!!!!

I felt that my teeth had melted after eating 3 of these little monsters :D
These might look cute and pretty, but they are deadly sour! :D Think twice before you approach them! :D
Another blogger has wrote that it's sour too!! So it's not just me! :D
