我可能不會愛你

我好耐都沒有看香港製造的 "港劇" 了, 真的對那些沒有演技的藝員, 和那些令人摸不著頭腦的劇情沒興趣。　

近期看多了台劇 & 韓劇, 韓劇多帥哥！台劇可以學國語。　一般來說，我只看一些輕鬆攪笑，并且有 happy ending 的劇，　我 fragile 的心受不了像 ＂藍色生死戀＂那種　＂求生不得，求死不能＂的愛！（其實沒有看過呢出韓劇，只看劇名便 rejected!） 

最近看完呢套 台劇　＂我可能不會愛你＂，好有感觸!　原本呢出劇都係 fall into reject group, 但不知怎麼攪的，　在一個憂鬱的晚上，　看了那第一集，　便愛上了　＂陳柏霖" 演的那個角色！

呢個男主角因為怕失去他其實愛著的女生而選擇只做 best friends, 咁樣一輩子都不會失去她囉。最後結局是怎樣？　你們自己看啦！:D

有點 surprised 是陳柏霖的演技進步了。以前看過他在一些香港電影的演出，　總覺得他＂囧囧＂的，臭小子一名，怎麼現在成熟了，　演活了這個情心款款的，在背後默默等待的 "黑馬王子"?!

現在回想起來, 我和前度係做咗十幾年 best friends才 upgrade 到拖手仔的, 現在我們各走各路的, 我雖然好 enjoy 現在的自由, 但也難免感到有點可惜沒了一個知己。有時夜闌人靜時都會不禁想像下：＂如果我們沒有開始過，那有多好。＂幸好我們有很多美好的回憶，assured 自己一路以來的每一個選擇都是無憾的。　

在戲裡, 陳柏霖唱了首插曲,他的歌喉我不能讚喇, 但歌本身很 match 套劇的 theme, 而他也唱得好有感情, 他還有份作曲的! 加分!

New toy comes new accessories

First order of thing is to protect the keyboard! :D It is a sheet of silicon which covers the keyboard but does not affect your typing. :)

Then is to buy a TSA approved laptop sleeve so I don't have to take the laptop out when checking in at the airport :D As I grow older, I seem to enjoy more bright color.. maybe because my life is going too dim/grey. :D

Also, a little mouse is a must have. :D That's it for now. :D

Red Hot New Toy!!

Shopping is always a stress reliever, don't you agree? :D heh

Well, my little laptop is acting up bad lately, so I figured, I might as well invest some funds into a new regular laptop. My old Lenovo 10-s is simply too small and too slow for my pleasure.  So I am just gonna keep that Lenovo mini laptop at work for 1 hour dinner time escape.

Now let's talk about this new toy. :D

It's a HP Pavilion G4 -2016TU model.  Originally it's listed as 4G ram, but eventually the shopkeeper upgraded it to 8G for free due to promotional offer.

With my accumulated credit card rewards cash credit, I end up only have to pay $2000 cash for this baby :D

New gadget! :D

Nothing sets me off more than broken computer gadgets. :/  A couple nights ago, when I got home after work, my monitor kept flashing on and off by itself.  I thought, what the hell, is my PC haunted!? :D

After testing it through the night, it turns out PC has no problem, video card has no problem and only the monitor was broken.  So I robbed my parents of their monitor for the few days.

Finally I spent $13xx to buy this new 22" Samsung LED monitor to replace my old 19" Benq monitor.


I am quite happy about this new monitor :D More screen space for me to multitask :D

but now I have $13xx less to spent in my USA trip! Hmrphhhh! :/

Don't panic :D   This time, I bought these for my chief godson. :D I haven't seen him for a long time now, it's time I give him some "ice breaker" presents when I see him :D

iPad2 for dad! :D cheap pad for mom! :D

When we visited my favorite uncle in lunar new year, he gave my dad a gift (Pictured below) :D   My uncle called it a "Cheap Pad".  It's an imitation of some-brand's tablets, which runs on Android. :D

Gosh, all the functions of a smart pad are there, but it's just too slow and the touch surface is not too sensitive.  It's annoying when you try to swipe it, and it's not responding; when you try to tap it, it thinks it needs double tap. Anyways, it's functional, but it's just too damn slow even for my dad.

The problem is, once dad is introduced to a pad thingy, he won't give it up until I fix it! Fix it how?!?!?! "Make it faster!", "How to open this game?!", "How come I can't get to this game?!", "How to take pictures? (it only has a front camera, which is stupid)


Arrrrggggghhhhhhh!!! So, as a good daughter that I am..... :D (and to avoid "fixing" that cheap pad for dad every other minute) I finally bought dad an iPad2. :D

This is the cheapest version of an iPad2 I bought. HK$3xxx. 16G, only WIFI capable, no 3G (dad doesn't need to go online on the street anyways.)

Steve job once commanded his staff, "Make people fall in love with apple's products!", he had really achieved this goal!

Dad now won't even let me play it unless there comes a time when apps needs to be updated! :D He has officially joined the i-thingies addiction league.

Now the cheap pad goes to mom, she is not complaining :D

With the iPad in my dad's procession, I can do facetime with my folks when I travel around the world. :D hehehehe. First trip to test it out would be in June when I visit USA :)

Christmas Present to Mom

那天和老劉吃完和牛 lunch 後 去了 Swarovski 盪下... 點各知一盪, 又盪走了 $940。　

可能今年洗在自己的錢太多了, 有些內疚, 慶幸的是, 今次是買給媽的. 好處是, 可以孝敬她之餘, 又可以 frequent 借用.... :D

剛才那段廣東話廣播，是向企圖進入辣豆國的龍舟鞋船民，講述辣豆國的船民甄別政策。

又是去舊迎新的時候，我忽然想到掉舊鞋如同我細個時政府的遣返船民行動一樣。。。於是便在 wiki 找到呢段集體回憶喇。　我把　葛民輝　的　SARS搞笑版本　輕微改了些便成了我呢個禁鞋版本。　嘻嘻。。

Nine West Crazy Sales!

It was my day off yesterday, instead of just staying home like usual, 2 of my girlfriends and I decided to have dim sum to release the stress of work.

After dim sum, one of my friends, Old Lau went shopping with me. 

I think I have forgotten how much fun it was shopping in real life with other girls. :) 


This time, I even able to influence my dearest friend, Old Lau to spend almost HK$1400 to buy 2 pairs of shoes with me!! :D

The original purpose of this shopping trip was to shop for high heels to match with my blue wedding banquet dress! :D  But as usual, a girl's shopping trip is always attached with many different distractions. :D  Instead of the pumps I intended to get, I end up buying a pair of goldish colored flats and a pair of classic boots at Nine West.

The boots' original price was HK$15xx, I end up only paying $5xx for it. Awesome find!! :D It's really hard to get size 10 shoes for my dragon boat feet! :D


I will forever remember this day as a shopaholic's triumph!

又洗錢喇!!!

自從買了那 chocolate rain mini 百達窿卡後, 　覺得用開的白色 i瘋套和紅色的達窿卡格格不入, 昨天一看見呢個紅色, elegant 嘅 cover, 便又情不自禁地批准銀包內的紅衫魚集體移民喇!

唉, 為什麼一錢多就身痕嘅呢!?!?!

The re-ordered Nordstrom dresses are finally here!!! :D

The blue dress turns out awesome, except the color is not the exact match with what I saw on the website, nonetheless, the sea blue is still lovely. :)

The other brownish print dress was not as good, so maybe I will return it the next trip when I go to USA, probably in June 2012.

Now my set of banquet outfit is coming together, need new shoes!! :D possibly 4 inch high heels... hahaha that would bring me to a solid 5"10 Hahahahahah....

Nordstrom order failed!

Today I received the 2nd package from Nordstrom, which suppose to have the dresses I ordered,  but somehow, the items got mixed up and I end up getting some SKII masks and some whatever beauty powders instead!

I am very disappointed as I thought I finally have a dress to wear to my cousin's wedding on Christmas day. :P


So obviously, I immediately contacted their customer service.  Working at a card center myself, I know to keep all conversation records for later dispute evidence.   I must say, although the package's contents were delivered incorrectly, Nodstrom's CS has managed this case professionally.

So, I gave them one more chance, I reordered all the missing items again and let's wait and hope no more mistakes. :D The exchange rate is better today than 30/11 when I last ordered. :) SO I guess it's not entirely a bad experience at all, except I need to waste time to contact DHL to return the wrong stuff.

$6000 的去向。。。

唉！　錢 呢種東西呢，　係不會留在的口袋裡太久的，　它們好像在說 "此地不宜久留，　快逃到那網上商店吧!"

昨天才收到　"古錢銀號" 嘅　ＳＭＳ，報告那 六千氏 一家嘅移民申請已收到, 10個星期內就入伙, 今天, 我呢個 辣豆國 當家 就已把它們 evicted! :D

其實自從港府announced 六千元派發後，　我都不知洗了多少個 $6000了, 洗埋呢次耍 忍 喇!!!!

昨天寫到為了那個　吳尊尊　而春心盪盪盪。。。

昨天趁放假，　終於清理呆放咗兩個星期嘅台灣行理箱，我都忘了, 我在第二次夜遊士林的時侯, 又做出了情不自禁嘅 買買買!

 就是這DVD，　那店員還對我說： "這個是正版的, 我給你Copy 的平一點!", 我一口便用很有自信的國語回答: "沒關係兒, 我買這個就可以啦!" :D

呢部"花樣少年少女" 係有吳尊尊＆S.H.E. 嘅 Ella 演出嘅, 我呢三個月已煲咗起碼三次. 嘻嘻. 不全是因為my吳尊尊喇，　而係劇中演員和情節實在係超攪笑，把我隱藏久了的幼稚和活潑嘅心境一次過喚醒了!!

老實的說, 去年的人生經歷, 翻覆起落, 我真的累到忘記了怎樣放鬆自己。　雖說用煲劇去麻醉自己係爛了點，　但可以令我輕鬆地像個傻婆咁大笑，誰敢說不可!!! :)

資深美少女 之 春心盪盪盪盪.....

近期狂煲台劇去減壓, 發現了現在D 台灣偶像劇嘅質素真的比我少女年代時高了很多, D 帥哥多到吖!!!! 仲要幾帥有幾帥添! 哈哈哈!

近期嘅心境係好像一個心傷痊癒了的失戀少女一樣, 重新對男生偶像有興趣囉... :D

繼 廿年前迷上金城武 後, 現看中了呢個從芠莢去台灣嘅 吳尊!! :D  每每見到佢在 magazine cover  便會情不自禁地買!買!買!!!

今日又比我找到一本囉！！！！！當堂個心都 春到盪漾起來。。。　嘻嘻嘻!

雖然係９月嘅 edition, 但依然很帥。。。　呵呵呵！　當然啦，　照片係吾會有過期日喇!

My Adorable Chocolate Rain Bag :D

Mike bought me this bag while we were strolling along the Soho area of Hong Kong back in March. :D

I have been using this almost everyday since and it seems this bag has drawn lots of attention from fellow ladies. Sometimes, I go into shops and the cashiers would ask me where I got this. :D I couldn't pinpoint the address and just know it's somewhere from Soho area.

I loved this bag the minute I saw it.. :D but it's was quite expensive for a plastic bag (well, the outside is weatherproof plastic, but inside is lined with cotton of course), so I hesitated. :D Mike must have known that if nobody made a decision on the purchase, we were gonna linger at the store until past happy hour. :D So, he being a decisive man, said, "Honey, if you like it, let me get it for you." :D

That totally turned me into a decisive woman right then and there... hahaha

I was digging up my dad's old news paper stash for something to read earlier and found a piece of article mentioning the lady who designed this bag. Her name is Prudence :D She turns patchworks into arts and now become quite famous.

After a bit of searching on the net, I have finally located the correct address for the store. :D Next time someone asks me where to buy the bag, I will just point her there.

But Prudence told Mike and I this is the only one left of its kind. :) So, good luck ladies! :)

Birthday Present :D

Approaching 36 year of ripe old age has its advantages. :D

Not only did we went on a binge Japanese cuisine eating event yesterday, my folks and I also went to look for gold trinkets for my 2 betrothed cousins.  It is customary for the elderly of the clan to gift gold jewelleries to the newly weds. :D

You might have known about this already, but my parents love me. :D I must say it out loud. :D Because when we went to buy gold stuff for my cousins, my mom said, let's buy me some too. :D

And here's what I picked. :D  It's a little gold bracelet with a series of little butterflies and hollow leaf shaped rings. The cuff is a traditional "S" shaped close. :)

This same chain would have only cost like HK$1200 5 years ago. (Because when Liza got married, we got her a little chain almost the same weight and it didn't cost as much than now). Now it cost $3xxx!!!!

Naively, I commented to myself, "Why the hack the gold price is so high now." I thought I knew the answer, but my mom's answer kinda was not what I have expected.


She said, "Because people don't trust the $US dollar anymore, so they just go buy gold as investment instead of investing in the USA money."


I thought it was purely because of supply and demand. I think the reason that the gold price went up so crazily was because many mainland china people love to buy gold and they are so stinky rich now, they would afford any type of shiny things.

In case of a WWIII, this would probably buy me a bowl of wild rice or a few potatoes.. :D Must keep it safe.

My Awsome New Camera!

I am just having fun with my newest camera, a Canon Ixus 210. :D

It has a few additional features to play with. One of my favorites is the 'miniature', a.k.a. Tilt Shift photo feature. :D

It turns ordinary picture into a fake miniature shot. :D It's quite fun.

Ordinary max zoom picture (because I took this picture from my 22/F flat. I must say the zoom quality of the camera is awesome too! :))

Now this picture is taken using the tilt shift feature. :D Can you feel that you are looking at a model driveway instead of zoom? :D
