New Stove! :D

Last week, when I was cooking, I smelt a little leaky gas from the stove.  So, we asked someone from the gas company to come check it out for us.

Turns out our stove was quite old and it indeed had a little leakage. It could blow up the neighborhood if we didn't take care of it. :D

So it's time to buy a new stove and here it is.

Cooking the first meal on this new stove. :D It's today's lunch and dinner. :D Mixed veggie and hot pot meat in soup. :D

My Moscow Visit :D

I've been having a lot of fun exploring 2nd Life lately. :D Today, I even travel to Moscow too!!

Behind me is the most famous "Saint Basil's Cathedral". I think it's one of the most interesting buildings in the world.

Ridding on a hot air balloon flying over Moscow Kremlin.

And then, I went to see Lenin's Mausoleum. Too bad I didn't have time to go view the body of leader of the once very red country.

And then, here is Dormition Cathedral.

Then I stumbled upon a palace which I think is now the senate. :)

Ivan the Great Bell Tower is behind me. Yay!

This is the Tsar Bell, which is the largest bell in the world.

Being naughty, I climbed up to the roof of the bell tower which let me have a better view of the The Grand Kremlin Palace.
The palace is quite large. Can you still find me on the ground level? :)
Also, I had a good view of the Cathedral of the Archangel from the roof of the bell tower. I changed into my favorite night gown just for this shot. :D

Behind me is The Spasskaya Tower which has large clock faces on each side of the tower.

Let's go see Tsar Cannon now. :) Russia's royalty was once the richest among the many kings and queens in the world. They simply had the largest of many things. :P

After all day of walking around The red square, I relaxed in a park nearby. :) I hope you enjoyed this tour as much as I did. :)

Today, my eye lid was twitching so badly; it was so xxxing annoying! :D

In the Chinese version of the bible (more like a fortune telling & utility book for the house hold) has a few page coverages about eye twitching. If your eyelid(s) twitch(es) at a certain time of the day, it predicts some kind of fate you have in that day. :D

Since my eyelid was twitching all day long, this proves that the book is just full of craps! :D

有云:Here's the time table of eyelid twitches.

Left eye
子(11:00pm-1:00am) 有貴人 have a friendly helper
You are worried
A guest is coming
A guest is coming
A foreigner will visit
The god of food will visit
The god of food will visit
Good Luck Generally
You will waste some $$$
A guest is coming
A guest is coming
A guest is coming

Note: My right eye didn't twitch, I was lazy to include the table of the right eye.

If followed the above table, it would mean I have guests all day long! :D

This explanation is more appropriate. (It basically means I was highly stressed or didn't sleep very well is all) :D hehe

Christmas Arrived In Time Square, HK

There's only about a month before Christmas. Many malls in Hong Kong are now decorated with seasonal arts and scenes.

Here are some pictures I took this week of the Time Square in Causeway Bay in Hong Kong.

Recently, when I was cleaning up my space, I discovered that I have all these hair bands and clips! So many of them are in butterfly shape!

Let me showcase them a bit here. :D

Hawt pwot! :D

Tonight's weather is still a little chilly. It happens to be my day off, so we decided we should all go have some hot pot. :D Hot pot has the effect of warming people up, promoting arm and fingers exercise and improving family communications. :D

To start off the meal, we helped ourselves with different sauces. I took some roasted garlics, chilly pepper soy sauce, satay sauce, ginger and onions and extra hot chilly sauce! :D Yum Yum.

Then it's the wait! :D

Waiting for the pot to boil up was torturous! :D
And then we gathered our veggies. :D We've got bok choy, tong ho choy (唐蒿).

Tong Ho Choy is my favorite hot pot veggies. It's fragantly and full of flavors.

Bok Choy is always a safe choice. :D

Here's our seafood mix. We were rationed a plate of shrimps, crab, mantis shrimps and scallops.

They were all quite fresh.

MmmMMm... nom nom nom.. :D

Fresh water crabs are fresh! :D

Cooked Mantis Shrimps. Most people in Hong Kong call them peeing shrimps. I don't really like small ones. :D Suddenly, I remember those huge ones at the Harbor View Hotel early these year. mmMMMm..
Big shrimps! :D Are you quite envy of me now? :D

The Hawt Pwot (Mike's version of Hot Pot) in action. :D

Left: Chicken and beef; Right: Fish skin dumplings, squid meat balls and some golden stock mushrooms. :)

Some gruesome stuff! :D

Well, oysters aren't gruesome. But we have here are pig's intestines (粉腸) :D

These balls are made of tofu skin. I don't touch these, but they are my mom's favorites.

Last but not least, we had some clams and long shell clams! :D

They were so sweet!
I wish there were more of these. :D But we were quite full by then. :)

The meal doesn't complete until you have a bowl or two of the hot pot soup! :D It has all the essence of the meat and seafood and veggies. It's the sweetest soup in the world. :D
