I love musicals! :D
Mama Mia was such a fun movie to watch! :D
It's funny, it's touching and it's a musical! Nothing beats such a combination! :)
It's a movie which celebrates friendships, love, parenthood and summer romances. :)
How can you miss seeing 007 & Mr. Darcy in Spandex?!
Best of all, it accompanies me through this sleepless night. :)
Highly Recommend it. :)

II ! Shopping!
I think other than shoes, women's other best friends are body lotions and lip balms. :D
Last week, when I went grocery shopping to replenish my nuts I found these cute little apples and pears.
I must buy it! :D So I did. :D
Turns out they are high quality hand creams and lip balms. :D
The hand cream is very soothing, only have to apply a little bit and your hand don't feel dry anymore. :D It even has the smell of apple too. :)
The pear lip balm taste exactly like a pear. :D Yummy. :D

My Shrine! :D
Hehe! :D
The plastic cover for my award has arrived yesterday! :D ehhe So we finally have a permanent place for our 3 ducklings to worship it. :D
My dad and I joked about it looks like my shrine plate (神主牌). :D
When my mom heard it, she frowned and said, "CHOY!" (It's a Chinese slang to exclaim when someone say something unlucky. :D Having one's shrine meaning that person is quite dead, therefore unlucky) :D

Have you ever seen a bun this big!??!
This Saturday, when I showed up at work, I discovered this huge bun! Turns out one of my bosses, Jerry will be getting married later this year! :D This is the gifts his mother-in-law returned to him.
Why was it returned? :D Well, it's more of a "Thank you for marrying my daughter" gift kinda thing. :D
After a bit of research, turns out this big bun is a wishing gift to the groom. It wishes the groom prosperity and double happiness. Do you recognize the 'double happiness' (囍) on the bun? :)

D hahha

Follow the Yellow Brick Road
Lately, my neighborhood has recently gone through some renovations. They had dug up strips of grey colored road and in place, put some yellow bricks there fore the blind.I think it's a good improvment for the community. However, that got me thinking..
Why are these blind people friendly bricks are bright yellow?
I mean, blind people prolly cannot see the color. The non-blind people prolly don't need to see these bricks anyways. :pNothing serious, just random mindless thoughts is all :P

Dream Chronicle VIII: A little sexy, A little religious
I just had a weird dream! I wasn't involved in the dream at all and I was just an observer, here's the dream I just described to my boyfriend.
Time stamps in blue is Monkeyman's respond :D Red is me telling him the story. :)
[12:04:24] hey
[12:05:00] ehhe slept till just now! :D
[12:05:23] sleep late
[12:05:47] i had this weirdest dream!
[12:05:58] like a little sexy.. and a little religious :D hahaha
[12:06:54] oh?
[12:06:59] yeah..
[12:07:34] it started with a bunch of kids watching day time sexy Japanese animes :D
[12:08:18] the anime's setting was in this huge church castle mansion building
[12:09:15] you know how weird those japanese hentai amimes are :D
[12:09:48] anyways, so after watching, those bunch of kids decided they should venture to a similiar building just near by, which is also a church
[12:10:06] i say kids, i mean people in their 20's :D
[12:10:14] uh huh
[12:10:35] then when they go into the church, they messed around with weird gadgets and stuff..
[12:10:39] somehow they found a secret door
[12:10:57] so they went in, they saw lots of beds in there :P
[12:11:11] so they figured they'd have sex there :P
[12:11:14] orgy :P
[12:11:16] anyways..
[12:11:33] one of the guys kinda saw a little girl, but she's kinda transparent
[12:11:43] so he followed her out of curiosity
[12:12:09] she led him to the dungeon level
[12:12:26] while he was following her, it seems like he's in a trance
[12:13:01] he couldn't help himself, he walked down the spiral stair case, and found very short cane
[12:13:18] the cane is short because it only has the "?" type shaped head.. it's missing the leg
[12:13:21] if you know what i mean
[12:13:53] hm
[12:13:53] so he picked it up and found out it actually has a button that would make the cane extend
[12:14:09] and it became a sword :D
[12:14:22] he kept walking down and found the dungeon..
[12:14:30] it was quite empty in the beginning
[12:14:51] somehow, a voice told him to find the bishop
[12:15:07] because the place was quite large, he had to split himself into 2 to look
[12:15:23] where are you with all this?
[12:15:27] his copy version finally found the bishop who is in his sleepy robe
[12:15:34] i was just watching in all this
[12:16:21] then he saw the little girl again who points at the bishop and told they guy "Kill him with the cane, he's the corrupted one"
[12:16:55] so the copy of the guy went and stab the bishop, but the bishop was wearing bullet proof vest!
[12:18:24] then the girl once again told the guy to aim at a weak spot, finally the copy could stab the bishop. but the bishop seems very strong and still standing and walking around even though the cane was still in his body. it went all the way through.
[12:18:33] so the copy of the guy fled
[12:19:06] a lot of security guards / worshipers ran in and discovered their bishop was stabbed, so they went and chase the guy
[12:19:39] suddenly the guy float up and looked like he was on the cross like jesus..
[12:19:53] people start to throw stones at him, but none works :P
[12:20:10] because he's doing a good thing.
[12:20:17] then they had to let him go
[12:20:26] the dream then fast forward
[12:20:41] these bunch of worshipers is at a dinner
[12:20:49] many of them nuns and priests
[12:22:21] their meal was hearty! Like it has oysters, prime ribs.. all the expensive foods, while they eat, they even joked about what kind of charity they pretended that they did. but they are spending all those money on these kind of luxury (sp) :D
[12:23:13] the dream ends when I woke up and thought to myself, "hypocrites! Evil! Liars! These church runners"
[12:23:16] the end :p
[12:23:29] haha
[12:24:26] the day time hentai anime involves 3 somes :D
[12:24:40] too bad it only lasted a little in the dream :D
[12:24:50] do you have some of those?
[12:24:55] no :D
[12:25:03] i wasn't even in the dream
[12:25:10] i was just an observer
[12:25:18] thats wierd
[12:25:29] you are not in the dream?
[12:25:30] I don't recognize anyone in the dream at all
[12:25:32] nope
Time stamps in blue is Monkeyman's respond :D Red is me telling him the story. :)

While my dad was practicing "佛在心中" (Buddha is in the heart), i figured I'd show off my calligraphy skill too. :D So I wrote, "食在肚中” (food in the tummy) :D Very appropriate. :D
Hehe sorry, can't have any English version this time, because this involves a very local slang which I am incapable of translating :D

I finally realized! :)
佢錯誤地用了個virtual account 去買機票, 當佢昨日看到 佢張 e-ticket 上寫咗句 "Please bring along your credit card which this purchase was made to check in."

English version:
Last night, I had a crazy customer.
He mistakenly used a virtual account to buy plane ticket. When he received the e-ticket asking him to bring along his credit card which matches with this purchase, he panicked! Practically nervous broke down crazy! :D He insisted us to issue a plastic for his virtual a/c.
The name, 'virtual account' means it's not a real card, it's just a virtual internet a/c. It is issued in a form of pin number sealed envelope, it offers more security to customers. After customer made an online transaction, he can reset his virtual a/c limit to $1 to avoid info stolen over the internet and suffer fraudulent transactions.
I believe this customer must not have traveled as much as I did. :D As you know, some airline would actually ask you to show the credit card before they issue you the boarding pass at the check in counter. When I told the customer nothing we can do to help him, he went berserk! Yelled at me and said I am stupid and sworn at my whole 18 generations of ancestors. :D He even insisted that the bank has to guarantee customers' transactions a success. etc etc.
Regret to say, bank does not protect customer from their own stupidity / ignorance! Although bankers are now one of the axis of evil, we did not wrong the customer in anyway in this incident.
However, when he kept on swearing at my ancestors, I had a realization!
He is not swearing at me or humiliating me, he's humiliating himself. He is not mad at me for being stupid, he's actually mad at himself for being a retard!
I felt that I should show some compassion for his stupidity. So I spent 1 hour of my private time at home and helped him call the airline. The answer I got was "customer only have to show the credit card if the purchase was made within 24 hours of departure!"
This is truly a learning and self discovery lesson.
Charity Tickets
At the snake dinner last night, a bunch of old people took the role of selling raffle tickets.
The selling point of these tickets is not really 'charity'. :D It's all the coupons attached. :D
Especially the 2 free cakes vouchers. :D
The raffle sellers keep yelling, $10 raffles! But the value is $50!! 2 free pieces of cakes each ticket!! Buy now!!! :D
Elderly people are like this, they like these kind of little cheap exchange.
It's nonetheless for charity though. :) That's why I bought 2 myself. :D
My folks selling those tickets :D
A video of my folks selling the tickets! :D

Gov't Employees Association Snake Banquet!
Tonight is the big day for the "Government Employees Association Snake Banquet"! :) My late aunt was a government employee, that's why we can tag along some of her old colleagues. My mom kinda inherited my late aunt's friends nowadays.
Normally, when I have a day off, I prefer to stay home to enjoy a "retirement" state, but "Eat weird and prosper" is my philosophy of life, so eat snake I must! :P
呢個係 menu :
I had a little tea reading session at the banquet too! :D
You see there's this piece of tea leaf that stand up. As I know, it means a friend from afar would come visit
Lo and behold, at the end of the dinner, I heard that the uncle in Beijing who welcomed me and Mike 2 years ago would come visit Hong Kong for a week! :D
All in all, the dinner was a success! :D I enjoyed it very much.

LaBean 大茶飯 :D
Winter is here! :D It's only about 20 degress. To the skinny Hong Kong people, it prolly feel like their nuts are freezing by this kind of 'coldness'. :D
To me, it's just right! :D This is the weather perfect for some steamed dishes. :D So here I present my lunch today :D
Top: Steamed Mushroom and minced pork patty.
Bottom, 1/2 of it split into the dinner pile. I ate a few mouth full of veggies before taking this picture. :D

Shopping spree in this financial tsunami!
The subject did shock you, didn't it? :D
Well, I am about to be laid off, so I didn't have the mood to write much these days.
I guess to say I am about to be lay off is a bit too paranoid actually. Just that my company has just announced that they will lay off about 500 employees in HK. I might or might not be one of the 'lucky' ones.
So, of course in this uncertain time, I of course won't go crazy and went on a shopping spree. But good thing for 2nd Life, I can satisfy my shopping craves there! :)
See here, I just refurnished my living room. :) Dinning room is next!! :)
As professor Lee just informed me this morning:
So, as a certified looney, i say, "Viva 2nd life!"

Office 一趣
Today I got an email at work which contained a series of comic strips. :D One of the strips is so true. :D It depicts the normal practice of many hotline CS agents :D
(Sorry for our mistakes)
(Yes, Mr. Wong, Thank you for your criticism and correction)
( uhha, yes yes, I have recorded it in the computer)
(Mr. Wong, Thank you, bye bye)
Strip 4 on the computer monitor: 操你媽... (Fxxx your mother!) :D

So Many Coupons! :D
As you know, last month I had won that HKCCA award. :D Not only did I gain fame from work, I also got some Sogo Department Store coupons!! :D

There are so many more than I have expected! :D You see, when I first started this competition, internal rumor was that if I won any prize at this award, I'd get $800 coupons of some sort! :D
Last week when I got the coupons in a thick envelope, I was surprised to find that it contains $1800 worth of shopping coupons!!! :D
So I took my parents shopping too this Monday. :D
My parents both end up buying themselves pairs of shoes! :D hehe
I haven't bought anything for myself yet. But I used those coupons to buy some treats for my colleagues. :D
These are the cakes 'sticks' I bought for my colleagues. :D They are not too big, but price is at about $$$$ out of $$$$$. :D They are delicious though and since it's delicate size, I think it's not as guilt imposing after we ate our share. :D

Hong Kong Post Advises: "Correct Address, Prompt Delivery!"
I went to the post office this morning to mail out some postcards that I got from Cheung Chau. :D When I return home, I found this message on my computer from Professor Lee.....
Just so happen, I found a pamphlet from Hong Kong Post which educate kids the importance of writing the mailing address correctly... :P

Sonia says (1:11 PM): Did I tell you that I received your postcard from taiwan?Remember this post back in August? :D hahahah History almost repeats itself again! :D
Sonia says (1:11 PM): it's pretty cute
Sonia says (1:12 PM): And I saw that you almost wrote ARbana again!
Sonia says (1:54 PM):

When flipflops tumble ^_^
20 years ago, my shoe tumbled on the bus! :D
20 years later today, my flipflops tumbled on the bus again! :D
This time though, I didn't scream for the bus to stop. :D The person who followed me up the upper deck just quietly wait till I fetch my flipflop back on the stair before she can go up too. :P
What good memories! :D
This is the left pink flipflop which left my foot and tumbled down the stairs from the upper deck bus! :D Better training is needed for this slipper to be better attached to my foot in future. :D

x_x ! Whao!!! Bus on fire!!!!
Although I got out of the office on time tonight, it took 30 more minutes to get home!! All because the highway was blocked and by going the slow way, we encountered every red light possible on the unusual route. :P
Turns out a bus was on fire on the highway at around midnight! Thank god it's not my bus which does that!
Here's the link to the instance news (Chinese though, sorry)

Happy Halloween!!! :)
It's the 31st of the 10th month of the year!! It's Halloween!!! :)
Too bad there's no "Trick or Treat" activities in Hong Kong as we live in high rises.
I remember though, in the first year I went to Vancouver, I went trick or treating with my little god sister, Rene (契妹) for the very first time of our lives. :D
We didn't even have any concept of what a real costume is back then. :D So after a brief discussion, we figured, we'd both be "sleeping beauties". :D So, our costumes were simply our night gowns. Those that is like a dress robe. :P
It was strange, but in deed very good childhood memories. :D
If I were to trick-or-treat this year, I think I'd be... "Pukka" :D Below is a picture of pukka. I will be the girl with 2 buns :D
