My Eyebrow Fetish }:D

fet·ish (noun) [fet-ish, fee-tish]
- Psychology. any object or nongenital part of the body that causes a habitual erotic response or fixation.

My boyfriend once asked me, "Why do you like Dean Cain so much?" :D I didn't have an answer for him until today! :D

I am recently watching this long ago TV Show called "Early Edition" which stars "Kyle Chandler" :D I was attracted to his guy next door look! :D Suddenly it dawned on me about why I like him and Dean Cain!!! :D

Just like my boyfriend, they have awesome eyebrows! :D

Can you tell which eyebrow belong to which man? :D

Update, 14:10pm
My friend Sonia says Chris Noth (Sex in City's Mr. Big) has nice eyebrows. :D I agree :D So here they are:

And then, there's Mr. Bean (He's an honorary relative to the LaBean Clan) :D

*\o/* 100th Celebratory post. *\o/* [LaBean's Sex Ed 101!]

The Subject is very alluring, isn't it? :D To celebrate this 100th post, I decided I should write on a subject that I haven't written before. It's quite a taboo subject also. :D

The story starts when my boyfriend introduced me to the interesting world of 'reddit.com' a few days ago. :D What is interesting about this reddit site? :D It has this "NSFW" section.

Naturally, I dunno what this "NSFW" means, so I asked my boyfriend what it is. :D He explained: It's "Not Suitable For Work". :P

Naturally, I went ooOooOo.. :D Since it's human nature to click on stuff that's 'not suitable' :D I clicked on it. :D

The first link I encountered there was about "Female Ejaculation".

The first thought that came to mind was, "Wot?! Female cannot possibly ejaculate!". We don't have a wee-wee :D After a few educational video watching and article reading sessions, I am baffled.

Don't be surprised about how naive I am. :D I was never taught in any "sex education" classes. There's no such class back in the days when I was in high school. :D The subject of Sex was simply forbidden. :D If I remembered correctly, we weren't even taught about the male sexual organ. :D Well after all, I was from a Catholic All girl school. :D

If anyone asked, I am sticking to the version of me coming out from a rice cooker, hence, my parents never had sex! XD

While there are still much to research on this subject, I have learnt a few things about the female atonomy also.

We have prostates too and our pee-pee isn't too much different from men's wee-wee either! :D

Now, here are some interesting read that I stumbled upon during this research:

This is a more scientific article.
This is a easier to understand article. :D
This is the book I might try to find later. :D

Feel free to discuss. :D

Ngong Ping 360 is as good as dead... :P

aToday I read a piece of bad news about the Ngong Ping 360 Cable car. It seems its reopen day is postponed. I really don't know why there are so many problems about this cable car.

There was this other much ancienter cable car in Hong Kong. It's located inside the famous Ocean Park. It's been with us for > 20 years and never once had any problem.

This makes me glad that my boyfriend and I had at least ridden on the 360 cable car once. It could be a chance of a lifetime! :D

This is us ridding the cable car. :P

Talking about my boyfriend, I have just invited him to be an editor of my Gazette here. This land needs a Prince Charming as some say being the Queen, I am Tyrant :D hehehehehehe

Um Hi

Hi there
I look nothing like this ^^ But it shows I'm an anime dork.

Umm, word on the street says I can edit this too? I'm not much of a blogger though.

Wow, trying out stuff.

Wow I really dont know how to use this cheesy editor. I'd be better off using my own html editor.

Plastic Bag vs Explanation :p

Hehe I have a funny story to tell today. :D I, once again, apologize to my English readers. I can only translate the Chinese into English literally, but the meaning might be lost in translation. :D

A young colleague came to me yesterday, without advising me the background, told me:

colleague: 個客話要我地比個'交代'佢. (Customer request we give him a 'plastic bag' - [note: the sound of 'plastic bag' sounds like the word 'explanation' in Chinese.])
(What Plastic bag!?!)
colleague: 交代! (An Explanation!)
(What Plastic bag?!)
(Explanation!! He complains!!!!)
Me: 咩話!? (What?! He complains about a plastic bag?!)

Of course I know my colleague wasn't talking about a plastic bag, but an explanation. But I feel that she should at least give me some background along with that "plastic bag" line.

This conversation has been going on for quite awhile before I finally let my colleague go.

:P I am such a meanie :D hehehe

Gladys:
Glads: I would miss things with my big eyes, but you can be more focused with your squinty eyes. :D

Mike: Canada is America's hat
Winnie: Is Mexico America's legs? :D
Mike: No, Mexico is America's beard :D

(That asshole said he saw a camera with a "smiley face detection function")
(What is "Smiley face detection"?!)
(When your subject smiles, it automatically take pictures without you pressing the shutter! :P)
(Then it's a big problem for Mr Yeung (My boss Patrick)! He won't be able to take a single picture with that camera ever then! - Due to the fact that Patrick has no smiling muscle on his face! :P)

How to make steamed pig's brain soup?

My friends keep asking what kind of feasts I would make my boyfriend during the July visit to SFO. :P While talking to my boyfriend this afternoon, I get the idea of making him a steamed pig brain soup. It was my late grandma's specialty. It made me the smart.. (_Y_) .. woman I am right now :P

材料:(Ingredients:)

Just some tree barks, herbs and brains; Oh My! :D

做法:(Process)

Throw everything in and steam for 3 hours! Oh yes! :D

I searched the web high and low for the simplest recipe. Mike would be once again the genie (sp.) pig of my culinary triumph.

Sonia says (11:38 AM): or 令你心理平衡翻 (or make you psychological balanced again)

Dream Chronicle III: Haunted Restaurant

I had a weird dream last night about a haunted restaurant/mansion.

The restaurant has this smooth escalator which is quite long and dangerous to ride on. When you arrived at the restaurant, you have to pick the right door or else you will have to dine with the ghosts. Or being dined by the ghost?!

And then even if I chose the right door, it just means that your table won't be bothered by the ghosts.. You are still surrounded by them.

When you finished your meal and left, you have to go through the car park, where a bunch of bad ghosts await you. You have to use your skills and wits to get pass them! :D It's similiar to playing some video games. :D hehe

When I finally found the smartest way to deal with the last ghost.. I woke up! :D

It's a non scary haunted dream.. but quite vivid and interesting. :D

A Black Friday?!

22:22pm.. Starting this post to see whether I would have bad luck today. It's a black Friday after all.

02:24am.. Just got home from work... It seems I indeed have bad luck today. I went to our redemption center to pick up a welcome gift for my complainant as he insisted I test the camera before he would sign it off.
I was charging the battery at work, but the charger keeps blinking red!! I didn't know what it was until I did some research now. The battery is wonky!!

WTF... that means I have to head out early again to exchange the camera... sigh... It's really hard to earn a living nowadays.

Mandarin Oriental Buffet! :)

It was a blast last night at the Buffet with Vivian. :) When you feel down and low, what more can you ask for than a pair of good friend's ears?! :) Although, of course... good foods also help to lift up your spirit. :)

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel is one of the oldest 5 star Hotels in Hong Kong. This is the first time I ever step foot in such a historic hotel :P Our buffet dinner was hosted at the Clipper Lounge. I felt so excited when I first saw the interior of the lounge. It's quiet and spacious unlike the hotel we originally wanted to go.

I was served some high graded Jasmine tea and bread, high tea style, when I arrived. I thought I went to the wrong place because usually there's no bread being served this way at buffet restaurants. :P But I was glad there was bread there because the butter that comes along with it was so creamy, Viv ended up eating more butter than she would have normally. :D

There was once a great philosopher said to me, "Hehe, whenever you see food, your eyes light up!". Nothing can so accurately describe my eyes last night. :P The sight of the Seafood table in the middle of the restaurant was so welcoming, I almost didn't wait for Vivian to arrive before I dig in! :P

The portion of each dish is small, but just right. This let you taste more of their different foods instead of getting full too soon. Although there aren't too many selections, all are very deliciously cooked and delicately presented. I adored the bamboo steamed fish very much.

After the small sampling of the seafoods, we get into serious business. Vivian first chose a bamboo steamed fish and a slice of thin prime rib.

I was more greedy. I had a basket of steamed fish, a slice of smoked salmon, a slice of cold cut roasted beef, a slice of roasted potato, 2 cubes of honey braised pumpkin, a small piece of pork's neck meat and a piece of soft shell crab tempura. :D Yummmmmmy! :D

This is what I called "Serious Business"!

The prawns are huge!!!! Both Viv and I had about 3-4 of these big babies!!

And then, there is my 2nd plate of seafood! :D Oysters, Alaska cold crab legs, unagi, small coach, shrimps and stuff!! Oh My! :D How can these good stuffs not lift up your spirits!? :D

My share of prime rib! I have to say though, prime ribs should be eaten in slabs!! Not in slices!!! I am sure Sonia would agree with me about this aspect of Prime Ribs!

A small bowl of Chicken Cream Corn soup to conclude the meaty session of the meal. I couldn't resist the temptation of one more baby lobster. They are really as good as the prawns. It's all good!

Talking about temptations, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel is most famous for its cakes and desserts. According to my boss, Gladys, its cake shop is like a jewelery store! :D

It is quite true as these bite sized delights are adorned with shaved silver for decoration. I didn't even know silver can be consumed this way! :D How exotic! :D How naughty! :D

Here you can have a glimpse of the dessert table. "nom nom nom..."

Here ends the feast. But there's this cute story about a tree....

In the beginning, our bonsai on the table was tiny and cute... :D In the middle of our meal, the waiter took it away for watering. Somehow when it was returned to our table, we noticed it had grew 3 times as big! :D

Vivian and I both declared: "Wow! It grew bigger!!" :D

The waiter than teasingly asked us: "would you ladies like it bigger or smaller? [evil grin] >:D)

I am sure he didn't mean the tree! :P hahaha

So here ends this post today... :D

Night in Hong Kong

Promised Sonia I would take a night team video in normal speed... :D So here it is.

After almost 2 weeks of tortures, I finally exploded at work tonight! :D Yelled at one of my bosses to stop assigning new cases to me! I have reached my boiling point!!

When I finally managed to get out of the office at 2am, I had to send Vivian a SMS, declaring a girl's night out tomorrow!!

Must eat!

Food = Stress relief!

I had been joking to my other boss, Gladys that whenever I am stressed, my boobs grows about 2 cups! :P It would come true if I keep using food as a stress reliever. :P

Graudate of "Problem Solving and Decison Making"! :D

Sorry for not much update the last week. I have been attending this "Problem Solving & Decision Making" Training.

It was not as 'headache creating' as the "Think on your feet" training last month.

I think I enjoy this problem solving training better. Although, even a chimpanzee demonstrates its problem solving ability, how to use it effectively and wisely is another matter. :)

I must give a big round of applause to our trainer, Catherine Choo. Her teaching style is lively, interactive and impressive. She's from Singapore. Her Cantonese is quite funny. :D

The only complaint I have about this training is that I have to wake up at 6:30am. :D It's dinner time now, let's eat! then Sleep! :D

Title: Customer's transactions vs colleague's retard.

background:
There's this spending encouragement program at our bank which ends on 31/05. So, on 31/05, one of my female team members went to a team leader and asked whether transactions made on that day (31/05) would count if the merchant posted the transaction on 01/06.

There was a Terms & condition printed on the promotion leaflet which says: Rewards will be given to those transactions posted on or before the Reward Calculation day. The reward will be calculated and distributed after 2 months of the spending period.

So it's quite simple. As long as the transaction was posted on the credit card statement within 31/07, it is fine then.

The team member was being yelled at for not reading the T&C carefully. We are not her baby sitter. So when a colleague who come to us and not study the programs carefully, we most often get frustrated just like a parent grounding her incorrigible child.

It's quite hard to translate the exact conversation into English.. :D It's mostly about a stupid colleague who doesn't read the terms and conditions of our spending program.

The term "making transactions" (誌賬) in Chinese sounds just the same as the term, "being a retard" (智障). So when a colleague asked a stupid question to a team leader, she was being yelled at for being a retard! :P The funny thing was, when she was being called just that, she nodded and admitted she was being one. :D

The subject team leader happened NOT to be me. :D But if she indeed asked me that question, I would prolly call her something worse! :P Maybe I will ask her "Would you start bringing your brain to work for a change!?" :D

Another Episode of Childhood memory :)

Hehhe... I was just chatting with my best friend, Sonia. Suddenly I remember this 'Kester Grant College", the old high school I studied in when I was in Vancouver!!!!!!! It's been almost 15 years ago!!! :D

Although the school name stays the same, the system and the location of the school have changed. I was the very first generation of that school's students! :D Back then, the school was just in its dawning age. Classrooms had only enough chairs for 5-7 people. Each 'grade' had only about 5-7 students.. :D hehe

There were only a handful of teachers also.

We Hong Kong people would call these kind of so called high school, 'wild chicken schools'. It was a stepping stone for international students like me to get into Canada. :D It was a fun time too. I must agree small class education is much better than those large classes in public schools.

We had one Mr. Parker who looked like a Santa Claus who taught Math, Chem, Bio, and Physics. He used to yell "HO HO HO!" whenever he saw me due to my name! :D hehe

We had one Dr. Cheng who taught social studies and also acted as our chancellor. He ate too much sashimi (due to the cheap price) and result in getting some kind of parasite in his intestines.

We had one hippy, tie dye shirt wearing, English Teacher.. I forgot his name who taught us English by letting us watch lots of classic movies, such as, "The commitments", "Hamlet" (The Mel Gibson version :P), and "Citizen Kane". His favorites were Clint Eastwood cowboy movies which we enjoyed. :) He was also the director of our school play, "Macbeth". I was one of the three witches :D I had it on video.. unfortunately, the tape was taped over by my parents with some stupid Andy Lau concert looooong ago.. :D
He was also the teacher who ever succeed in getting me interested in Shakespeare's works!
To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more...
To this day, I still remeber the above lines from Hamlet.

Kester Grant, although a wild chicken school, was the school which inspired me to learn. It was such a great time in my life. :)

My parents' 35th anniversary :)

I was scanning some baby pictures of my boyfriend's for him today. In the mean time, I was searching my computer for some old scanned pictures of myself. I was such an adorable kid. Haha!! :D

Just realized that my parents have been married for 35 years already. Their anniversary was on the 26th of May. :) Other than watching the Indiana Jones movie, we also went out for dinner to celebrate. :)

I want to show you our family in a picture show and tell. :) Here's how it begins...

Riding the bus at night :D

Hong Kong's night time is so twinkly :D

Ron Paul 2008!!

My loyal reader and my free lance reporter, Sonia, had visited Iowa during the Memorial day weekend. While driving out of Champaign, she encountered some Ron Paul banners.

Although she's not a supporter of Dr. Paul, she's amazed by the loyalty the Ron Paul supporters are. The Ron Paul banner on an apartment building is huge!! :D

Dr. Paul for President!!!

Correction:

Sonia says (12:55 PM): it should be "When driving BACK to CHAMPAIGN"
Sonia says (12:55 PM): while she still had her rental car
Sonia says (12:55 PM): fix it!
Sonia says (12:55 PM): !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sonia says (12:55 PM): I told you from the beginning!
Sonia says (12:56 PM): You just didn't understand/ pay attention to what I said!
Sonia says (12:56 PM): she's amazed by the loyalty the Ron Paul supporters are.
Sonia says (12:56 PM): Yes... I'm amazed!
Tickle LaBean says (12:57 PM): -_-

Another Bastard!

Last night I was being yelled at for 2 hours by a Jockey Club Security guard! He complains the redemption center staff refused to help him check the welcome gift, a digital camcorder. As he refused to leave the counter because of this, the other customer queuing behind him started to get annoyed and swear at him.

He said he almost started a fight with those people behind him and now insists we compensate his psychological damage...

then there's the 2 hours ridiculous conversation, until he asked to speak to Manager at 1:15 am. I told him the managers has just logged off 15 minutes ago. Then he realized it should be my day end too before he let me go. :D

Well, my comment is: You are the one holding up the line, stopping the world turn!, asshole! You created that scene and you deserved to be swear at in the redemption center! People these days are just unreasonable and insane!!

Realizing he's a Jockey Club security guard, I couldn't help but wonder he prolly lose some huge money on gambling and needed some release outlet. The lucky outlet happened to be me. :D

Sigh... I wonder when will the angry Hong Kong people explode? BOOM!

Dr. Jones!!!

I just took my parents out to see the "Indiana Jones - The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". It was very exciting!!! :)

Why was it so great?!? Not to disclose too much, here are the elements which makes this movie great!

The Star Trek element: Let's just say, a "Vulcan" Galadriel!?.

The George of the Jungle element: Swinging on trees! :D

The Mummy Returns element: Don't let them eat me!!!

The Encounter of the Third Kind element: Flying Disks?!

The "How to survive an Atomic Bomb" element: This movie saves your life in those situations! :D

Last but not least..
The Very Indie elements: Well, there can be only one Indiana Jones!

I loved it! :)

English Translation:
This week, I have encountered (at least) 3 disgusting specimens of cheap male of Hong Kong!

Criminal #1.
He is a repeat offender.

Case 1: Last week, he lied about not receiving the welcome gift - $400 coupons. He accused our colleague of giving him wrong info (mailing the coupons directly to him vs. mailing a redemption letter for him to redeem). He demanded due to our colleague's fault, we should give him 100,000 Bonus Points instead of re-mailing him the coupons by registered mail.

Case 2: He called again this week complained about our change of Terms of Conditions! Due to he no longer agreed to our terms, he wished to cancel his card. Due to his history of complaints, we had to pretend we 'respect' his decision of leaving. However, he didn't expect our decisive response:

bastard: Why don't you retain me?!
me: Sir, we are trying to retain you right now. Just that we have so much respect for you. We do however, very much regret that you decided to go!
bastard: Why don't you offer me something to make me stay?
me: Sorry, as of this moment, we do not have any retention offer to our customers. All I can offer is my sincerity to hope that you would ultimately stay with us...
bastard: You call this sincerity?!? You ask your management to offer something to make me stay now!
me: (thinking: i will give you a strand of hair! - which in Chinese means 'nothing') I really feel a pity that you wish to go, but we truly don't have any offer that would make you stay sir.

Above was only 1 tiny segment of the conversations of his pathetic begging. Every time I talked to him and make him accept the fact that we are letting him go, the next day, he would call our complaint hotline and beg again. Such an arse! :D

Criminal 2:
Another loser! He calls in to seek welcome gifts again and again! He's trying to abuse the 'holes' in our terms and conditions to benefit himself. I wouldn't blame him if he were a woman! But a man being such a 'housewife-coupon clipper', shame on him! (But he's truly a wise arse.. I guess he's the least awful of the 3 criminals)

Criminal 3:
Another shitty male! This one complains about our 'limited edition redemption coupons' out of stock. He demands to have a written explanation! What a waste of my time to have to prepare the stupid complaint log!! So I sat there, brainstormed about how to get rid of this bastard. In the end, my boss offered to let him redeem some 'unlimited edition coupons with "limited edition" price" to shut his stinky mouth up! When I replied him the result, he sounded like he was wagging his tail like a dog begging for his bone! What a disgrace of the male gender!

Let's ride with me :)

Come ride with me.. let's ride let's ride away... :D

I just realized ridding the bus from home to work takes about 15 minutes. :D I always thought it's only 10. :D

I was having day shifts the last 2 days, very draining. :D Yesterday, I narrowly escaped having to write a complaint log. It's all good. :D

Gem of Childhood Memories...

Went out to a little shopping today, found some gem of my childhood memories. :D

Back in the day when I was still in Primary School, I would watch these kind of Chinese black and white movies before I go to school. :D

The one on the left is my favorite. It's called "The Goblet which glows in the dark" :D It's a Chinese legend / fantasy. It's a story in which Aladdin meets Cinderella meets the Wizard of the Oz meets the Iron Chef meets Lord of the Rings.. and what not.. :D hehe

Here are the reasons why this movie is so good.. :D

The Aladdin element: The story involves a little girl, Bobo who found this magic goblet in a cave. The goblet's magical power can be activated by dropping water into it. The 'Aladdin' in this goblet is a pretty genie lady who looks like Bobo's deceased mother.

The Cinderella element: There's this evil adulterous step mother who abused Bobo. She set about to murder Bobo's father and Bobo. Of course, fortunately, there's this faithful housekeeper who always tries to look after Bobo and her dad. The funny housekeeper is called "70%" :D He only does thing 70% instead of 100% :D

The Wizard of Oz element: When Bobo tries to look for a good step mom for herself, she asked the genie to look for someone who look exactly the same as her late mom. The genie found one in a princess; so she created a magical wind (a tornado) to deliver the princess to Bobo's house. :D

The Iron Chef element: There's a wedding celebration scene which shows a bunch of Bobo's neighbors all come around to cook for the wedding. There's a live chicken being slaughtered on the film! :D This won't ever happen in movies nowadays. :D

The LOTR element: There's this magical bowl that can see into other people's lives. Just like Galadriel can glance into her magical water bowl to see into the hobbit's torments... Also, in the end, the glow-in-the-dark goblet had to be melted just like the One Ring... :D Just like the Lord of the Rings, it's a long movie too and there's lots of CGI effects :D hehe

Well.. CGI back in the day of the 60's wasn't called CGI... It was primitive, but it's nonetheless effective, fun and inspiring... :D The effects include.. dead mom coming out of a painting, flying people (like superman's flying), giant trolls in a cave and teleporting people from one spot to another. This is why I enjoyed this movie so much when I was a kid .. some 25 years ago..

Here are some clips of the movie. :D Sorry, my English only readers, there's no subtitles available. :D But you get to see the genie and Bobo (the kid) in these clips. :D

English translation:
This is a funny conversation at the birthday party at work last night.

Teammate A: Oi! The cake looks so delicious!! :)
Teamleader : Oh yes! Oh Yes! I am so very touched! But Teammate B just ate a big bowl of instant noodles!! Would she still be able to eat the cake? :D
Teammate B: HAHA! Of course i can eat!! I ate nothing during dinner!!
Supervisor: HAHA! You ate air during dinner? :D
Teamleader : No no! There's a saying, "You must not eat anything before you eat breakfast", we are just serving her breakfast now :D
Teammate B : HAHAHA.

A birthday party from work! Feel the Luv!! :D

Today was quite a bad day at work. Lots of unreasonable complaints made me feel defeated. Fortunately, I have a team of lovely colleagues who all stayed behind and celebrated a belated birthday with me! :)

My boss, Patrick even got me a 'light' cheesecake which was very delicious!

Somehow, I dunno why though, I still feel kinda 'hollow' when I finally left office at 3am. (Maybe because of old age! I call it "Birthday depression syndrome") So I sent my boyfriend a mushy sms message. :P He's on a business trip again for 3 days. I wrote:

Soooo tired. 3am. Just left the office. Just want to think positive thoughts. So I am sending this msg to say I love you. Nothing can cheer me up better than the thought of you. Talk 2 U when U're back. <3>
I am such a romantic :D hehe

On the way back home, something caught my eyes and made me smile a little. I stopped by this boutique and saw a set of very adorable containers. Maybe I will check them out tomorrow :D

Tongue burning spicy beef cubes in pumpkin

Due to mom not willing to cook tonight, we went out for a simple dinner. There's this dish at the restaurant worth mentioning.

It's slow cooked spicy beef tenderloin cubes in steamed pumpkin. :)
The spiciness is just right. It left a little tingly feeling on your tongue.
The beef is tender yet bouncy. It's cooked just right!
The pumpkin is not too sweet nor too mushy. It soak up all the beef juice, it was soooo good!

I gotta learn how to make this dish!! :D

Birthday full of love... :D

This morning, when the clock strike 00:00, a group of frenzied colleague rushed to my desk and showered me with wonderful gifts and birthday wishes. :P I have never been so touched before!!

I dunno how they get to know my exact birthday this year.. but it's very nice to have a bunch of people come to me and cheered at my old age. :D hehe It made me feel so warm and fussy inside.

My boss had put up a birthday balloon at my desk. :D And Heidi made me a heart shaped balloon as well. And here's a picture of all the gifts I got. :D The gifts are all very practical, such as lip gloss, hand cream, earphones with crystal decorations on it :P (good for tape listening at work when encountered complaints!) and a happy face cushion. :P Of course there's the wonderful birthday card with best wishes written on it.

I know I always say as I grow older, birthday seems trivial to me and I have no mood to celebrate it. However, with nice colleague like the people I work with, growing older might not seem so bad anymore. :)

I dunno how to repay my lovely colleague's gestures.. Maybe I will steam them some milk/eggs.. :D they always enjoy eating desserts.. :D

To respond to Sonia's request to look up Stinking Rose in SFO.. here it is.

I Love Google!

Wow!! I just have to say I love Google Maps.. or.. Google everything!! :D

I was just bored this morning and explored around the google map. It's so much fun to see the places I am so familiar with overseas.

Below is the crosswalk I passed many times to do my daily grocery shopping. :)

This is the little grocery store I always visit. :D

This is Sunnyvale Town Center. I sometimes would order a coffee at a cafe there and wait for Mike to pick me up after some sight seeing. :)

Below is the slope that goes up to my best friend's home. :)

Hehe.. this is the Hillsdale Mall.. where I shop alone while Mike's at work.

The famous Winchester Mystery House is just across the street!

Now, let's hop to Las Vegas. This is The Venetian Hotel where we stayed in May 2006. :)

We also stayed at the Luxor Hotel in Vegas

Ohh! So many good memories. :)

I wish they do street views in overseas.. :D Then, I can show you places in Hong Kong. :D

3 days of mourning for the China-quake victims

The China gov't has dedicated 19 - 21 / May as mourning days for the 四川 earthquake victims. It just happened my birthday is on the 20th. So I declare my birthday celebration canceled this year. The money set aside for a little dine out celebration is donated to the victims' fund. After all, birthday happens every year, it's not as important as the people who lost their families and homes in this quake.

I am just watching a live show from the CCTV4 (China's news channel) which is a show to ask people for donation for the victims. I couldn't help but feel touched about how the Chinese people unite in this situation.

There was a saying in Chinese: "各家自掃門前雪, 那管他人瓦上霜" (Each family would only sweep its own snow, who cares about frost on your neighbor's roof), it tells how selfish the Chinese could be. It's nice to see now different people would contribute to help their neighbors.

Much thanks go to my boss Patrick! His diligence in fighting this vacation slot for me is greatly appreciated!!! :D

so stupid!!!

I apologize to my boyfriend who cannot understand Chinese.. :D but these kind of work related rant must be done in my native language to be lively and vivid :P

Ron Paul 2008!!! :D

....follow up on the translation for my boyfriend :D

I have crazy customer tonight. She complains that we had canceled her priority pass (which is a airport lounge membership). Due to the fact that she is a supplementary card holder, before we can disclose any account details, we have to contact the principle card holder first. However, this request had trigger another round of complaint from that crazy lady.

She said:
This card is mostly used by me! Why can't I check the account info!?! I believe you are trying to humiliate me!!! I am 40 years old already and why can't I have any say in my card!?!?!

I thought:
So Stupid!!! If you wanted say in your card, you should just go ahead and apply a principle card for yourself instead of still relying on your daddy's supplementary card!!! Such a shame she is still sucking up her daddy's money! Please consider your position before humiliating yourself! :D

.. end of translation :D

From Dickman to Dick......

2 days ago, I got the opportunity to join an 'elite employee training' session at work. I was quite surprised to encounter one of my old colleagues way back from AE. The reasons I was surprised were:

1) His name used to be "Dickman", now just a Dick

2) When he worked at AE, nobody would have dreamed that today he would be hand picked by management to be an 'elite' employee with potential. He used to fall asleep at work back in AE. He hanged up on customers and frequently created complaint!

3) He is better looking now!! :D no more greasiness in his hair and his facial color is no longer an unnatural grey.

4) He was an ass back in AE. When I tried to switch shift with him, he would say no and instead rob me of my shift instead. Entirely not a team player. (He is still quite an ass at the training session though)

I thought in my head.... maybe.. when a guy tries to call his Dick a man, it will suppress the potential in the guy. Too much pressure for the Dick to act like a man!! :D But now that he's just a Dick, all his potential can be expressed. Because he no longer have to pretend to be a man, he now can concentrate on being a true Dick. :D

Ugly Hong Kong people

Yes the title of this post might be too harsh but let me tell you what I encountered this week to justify this comment!

Monday:
I was lining up orderly at the bus stop waiting to get on my bus to work. Although the door of the bus was wide, people still get on the bus one by one. However, just when I am about to get on the bus, there's this guy behind me wearing a fancy suit and tie, cut the queue and hopped on the bus before I did!!!! I went WTF!!! Since I am an educated civilized lady, I didn't make a scene. I just gave him my infamous death ray stare! >:@

Wednesday:
I got a complaint at work from another team. The customer accused my colleague of giving wrong info which was very trivial to begin with(whether the welcome gift coupons will be mailed to customer directly or need to go to redemption center to redeem.. very trivial!). He used this excuse to charge us for compensation, citing our colleague mislead him into thinking he has to go to the redemption center.

Just wonder, what was his loss? none! zip! nil! zero!!! Nada!

He demanded us to compensate him with 100,000 bonus point due to this.
The thing is, he also insisted (I believe he lied) that he did not received the $400 coupons we had directly mailed to him. So now he gained $400 + 100,000 bonus point!!!!

I tried to reject him because he has no ground. If he says he didn't received the coupons, we can mail them to him again.. better yet.. offer DHL service to him! But he refused.

So I ask him write me a letter to declare he indeed didn't get the coupons! And as we predicted, he refused. That's why I said he lied! His address has no problem. He received his credit card, his statements and even our curse to him, I strongly doubt he didn't received the coupons!

Today:
There's this complaint case yet again. This time complains a new comer of poor handling. The customer's sister (!!!) complains my new colleague of canceling her sister's card without authorization.

I went and listened to the tape, although Customer might have demanded the cancellation out of spike, Customer did indeed say, "Fine! Then cancel THIS card too!!!"
Therefore, our CS did not cancel customer's card by mistake. She just didn't try to retain her. :D
Anyways, the psycho sister calls again and lies. She insists she was there when the customer was on phone with our CS and insisted that her sister did not cancel her card.

Complaint 101.
Try not to fume the customer some more by rebuking the customer

Therefore, I didn't challenge her in great detail. I apologized and offered solution. But that's not enough! She insisted I forced my newbie colleague to write an apology to her directly. I told her our bank is responsible for issuing such letter. As for the subject CS, we will put her through training & coaching again to improve her future performance.

But that's not enough either. She then accuses me of trying to cover up this incident for the CS. Come on you stupid bitch. Haven't I told you the letter is issued officially by our management?! Therefore there's no cover up!

Also, If I just allow my CS to write "I am so damn sorry, byetch" to you and can settle the case, I damn well guarantee you this case will go unnoticed by management then.

In the end, she said she wants to punish the CS until she got fired!!! I thought: Mind your bleeping Karma byetch!

After I submitted my complaint log to my boss, his comment was:

"Chiu!!! 要刲信來把鬼咩! 又吾食得, mung 屎又嫌太硬, 做wall paper 又核鬼突, 係我就拗張coupon, 起碼都有D用吖, 為咩呢?!"

Translation of above:

Geez! What she want the letter for?! The letter cannot be eaten, too hard for an ass wipe, too ugly for wallpaper. If I were the customer, I'd demand compensation of some cash coupon, at least it's more useful!

My friend asks me:

Sonia says (3:51 AM): well how many percents of your callers are asses on average?
Tickle LaBean says (3:51 AM): 60!
Tickle LaBean says (3:51 AM): :D
Sonia says (3:51 AM): that's right!
Tickle LaBean says (3:51 AM): the other 35 are stupid people
Tickle LaBean says (3:52 AM): another 4.99 are 白撞 (waste of time)
Tickle LaBean says (3:52 AM): 0.01 is nice

Tickle LaBean says (1:52 PM): the last resort would be .. if you don't approve, i quit hehehe
Sonia says (1:52 PM): :D
Sonia says (1:53 PM): :D :D :D :D
Sonia says (1:53 PM): I LIKE THE 3rd!
Tickle LaBean says (1:53 PM): and the last one would be 我嫁吾去你chui我!?
Tickle LaBean says (1:53 PM): hehe
Sonia says (1:53 PM): :D :D :D
Sonia says (1:56 PM): our conversation above has to be recorded at somewhere!
Sonia says (1:56 PM): :D
Tickle LaBean says (1:57 PM): i will add to my blog later
Tickle LaBean says (1:57 PM): heh
Sonia says (1:58 PM): I admire you to be able to use that sort of rhetoric in Chinese
Sonia says (1:58 PM): I could in English
Sonia says (1:58 PM): All the times
Sonia says (1:58 PM): But not in Chinese
Tickle LaBean says (1:59 PM): you mean "bok 野?"
Sonia says (1:59 PM): Right... and the way of speaking
Sonia says (1:59 PM): everything

Passive compulsive Tin Box collector!

I was cleaning my desk, I just discovered that I am a slide cover tin box collector. :D For some reason, I just realized I am attracted to these little tin boxes. :D They are convenient. The design of sliding cover makes the lid very secured.

:D :D

On another note:

i am just watching this documentary about "黃梓澄找黃梓澄". it's about a guy named 黃梓澄, who tried to find people with his same name in HK. I tried to locate my name on the net... :D It seems there are a few others who has my old name. But my new name seems quite unique :D

記得細個時(大概 6years old)有一次在伯父家中食飯,汪小姐唱live of the ”京華春夢” theme song...

Greatness! :D

Side note:
After the torch run is done, the sponsors went up to the stage to say how they help this "Green Olympics". Coka Cola, one of the sponsors says: "Oh we set up environmental friendly fridges everywhere, so the athletes would be able to buy our coke!"

Heh, I doubt a smart athlete would crave such a drink if they want to win some gold medals :D

Today the Olympic fire has arrived to Hong Kong. I am just watching the Live broadcast right now. I just thought Hong Kong people are so short :D

When there were protests in overseas about China's inhumanity during the Olympic ceremony, I thought nothing of such about these men in blue. I just thought they are small and ugly, but now they are in Hong Kong, they are towering over the Hong Kong fire handlers and they acted organized and all proud.

I can't help but wonder whether there would be protests during this Hong Kong event. Somehow, I doubt it. The immigration has denied entry of some of the key protest players from entering Hong Kong. What a shame!! I always thought Hong Kong should remain free until 2057. I think I am too optimistic.

Anyways, there are even some actors being assigned to hold the fire. I thought, why not ask some more meaningful people such as people who are recognized for their contributions in doing charity work in society to hold the fire instead of these nonsense people from the entertainment industry?

The ideal of the Olympic has lost its way in this little city...

... update (11:21am)
Now I see an engineer being the fire keeper.. Okay, maybe I speak too soon about the entertainment people as fire keepers. However, why are they placing these professional people in a section of the track where no public can access?? Don't they deserve to be cheered by the excited public while they run their 200 meters?!

11:54am
Oh! There's this 14 year old ping pong player kid as the 34th fire holder... :D I just saw some elderly people cheering at him at the Tsing Ma bridge Vista. Oh the side note, my parents' "China Loving Old People Association" has also sent them to stand along the street to cheer for the fire handlers. :D Their position is somewhere in Shatin which is coming right up!

12:44pm
Now it's more like it! There's an eye doctor (Dr. 林順潮)being the torch bearer. He's reputed to do lots of charity treatment to the poor. :)

13:56pm
Who would have thought watching a bunch of people jogging with a torch could be interesting...
Now there is a horse rider holding the torch, cheery and proud. Hong Kong will be the host of the Horse riding events for the Olympics.
